Abstract: Pretende-se levantar como os meios de comunicação de massa são também responsáveis pela produção de modos hegemônicos de ser e de existir no mundo. Apresenta-se um rápido histórico do crescimento e expansão da mídia no Brasil e de sua centralização e controle.
