Black meshes used in greenhouses provide shade to plants, affecting photosynthesis and presenting certain properties that change the microclimatic conditions in these environments. The objective of this study was to evaluate the variation in climate elements in greenhouse cultivated with gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii, Vr. Rambo) in relation to external conditions and the reference evapotranspiration (ETo) at Teresina, State of Piauí, Brazil. The measurements were obtained from July to October 2007 by an automatic data acquisition system installed inside and outside the greenhouse. The global solar radiation, evapotranspiration, precipitation, temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed were estimated. The results showed that major effect of the shading occurred on the mean air temperature during the 120 days, making it higher than the external environment. Inside the greenhouse, mean values of relative air humidity, reference evapotranspiração, global solar radiation and wind speed were lower compared to those outside the greenhouse.KEYWORDS: meteorology, meteorological elements, floriculture, Gerbera jamesonii. VARIAÇÕES METEOROLÓGICAS EM AMBIENTE PROTEGIDO CULTIVADO COM GÉRBERAS E SUAS RELAÇÕES COM AS CONDIÇÕES EXTERNAS RESUMO:Os ambientes protegidos cobertos com malha negra fornecem sombreamento às plantas, têm forte influência no processo da fotossíntese e possuem propriedades particulares que interferem nas condições micrometeorológicas desses ambientes. Objetivou-se, neste trabalho, avaliar os elementos meteorológicos no interior do ambiente protegido cultivado com gérbera (Gerbera jamesonii, Vr. Rambo) em relação ao ambiente externo e na evapotranspiração de referência (ETo), a qual foi correlacionada às variáveis ambientais em Teresina-PI. No período de julho a outubro de 2007, os elementos meteorológicos foram obtidos por um sistema de aquisição de dados automático instalado no interior do ambiente protegido e externamente. Estimaram-se a radiação solar global, temperatura, umidade relativa do ar, evapotranspiração de referência, precipitação e velocidade do ar. Os resultados mostraram que o maior efeito da cobertura ocorreu sobre a temperatura média do ar durante os 120 dias, tornando-as acima das verificadas no ambiente exterior. Foram observados no ambiente protegido, valores médios de umidade relativa do ar, evapotranspiração de referência, radiação solar global e velocidade do vento, inferiores aos obtidos em condição de campo.

Objetivou-se nesta pesquisa avaliar os efeitos de níveis de sombreamento sobre o desempenho de T. triangulare quanto ao teor e acúmulo de nutrientes e a composição centesimal em suas folhas, caules e raízes. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em blocos casualizados em parcelas subdivididas (4 x 3), em que as parcelas foram formadas por quatro ambientes de cultivo (pleno sol, 18, 30 e 50% de sombreamento) e as subparcelas, por três partes das plantas (raiz, caule e folhas). Em valores médios, foram observados maiores teores de minerais na seguinte ordem: K>N>Ca>P>Mg>S>Fe>Mn>Zn>B>Cu, e de acúmulo para: K>N>Ca>Mg>P>S>Fe>Mn>Zn>B>Cu. Quanto à composição bromatológica não foram observadas interações significativas entre níveis de sombreamento e as partes da planta. Contudo, nas raízes foram observados maiores teores de carboidratos totais, fibra em detergente neutro, de hemicelulose e de umidade e no caule de fibra em detergente ácido, fibra em detergente neutro e carboidratos totais e nas folhas de proteína bruta e umidade. Os teores de fibra em detergente ácido aumentaram com os níveis de sombra e a umidade foi reduzida. Os teores de fibra em detergente neutro e hemicelulose mostraram comportamento quadrático com ponto de máximo em 19 e 12% de sombreamento, respectivamente. Conclui-se que a T. triangulare apresenta elevados níveis de nutrientes em seus órgãos, contudo o sombreamento altera sua composição química e bromatológica.

-Experiments were carried out in Ponta Grossa -PR, Brazil, in the winter and spring/summer periods with iceberg lettuces cultivars Lucy Brown and Raider Plus. The objectives were to assess the lettuce productive responses and the intensity of the microclimate modifications in five cropping systems as under shade nets Aluminet 40-O ® (AL) and ChromatiNet Vermelha ® 40 (CR), a low tunnel covered with transparent polyethylene (TU), direct cover white nonwoven (NW) and natural conditions (NT). A complete randomized design was used for both the experiments with five treatments placed in a 5x2 factorial arrangement (cropping systems x cultivars) and four replications. The photosynthetically active radiation and air temperature were monitored by installing probes in a datalogger system. In the winter both cultivars under NW and TU produced 21 days earlier compared to the other environments but they presented fresh commercial head similar to NT at the end of the cycle and superior to CR and AL. In the spring/summer there was no difference in the lettuce cycle regardless of the cultivar and the cropping systems. The Lucy Brown cultivar presented smaller sized heads for the winter cropping but did not differ from Raider Plus during the spring/summer. The mean air temperature of the air under NW was higher than in the other environments in both experiments. The use of the different covering materials reduced the photosynthetically active radiation available to the plant but did not prevent commercial head production of Iceberg lettuce.
