Abstract: RESUMO. Tityus neglectus Mello-Leitão , 1932, originalmente descrito de uma fêmea coletada no Rio Grande do Norte (Brasil) é redescrito . O tipo , no Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (Rio de Janeiro) está perdido ; um macho da coleção de escorpiões do Instituto Butantan (São Paulo ) é proposto como ·neótipo .
