-Recent studies indicate that glyphosate applied in post-emergence in RR soybean can eventually cause phytotoxic effects. However, there are many questions that need to be clarified in the scientific and technical contexts, involving the issue of RR soybeans regarding the use of glyphosate. This study has assessed the impact of the application of different doses and formulations of glyphosate in the reproductive period of RR soybean (R1 stage). For that purpose, an experiment in the field was conducted in two harvests (2011/12 and 2012/13), in which a 2 x 5 factorial design was used (formulations versus doses) totaling 10 treatments. In these two experiments the variables related to agronomic performance were: phytotoxicity (7, 14, 21 and 28 days after application), plant height, number of pods per plant, yield and weight of 100 grains (end of soy cycle). The results obtained allowed characterizing phytotoxicity and damages to the height and yield in RR soybean, with increasing rates of glyphosate applied in the reproductive period.Keywords: Glycine max, herbicide, transgenic crops, phytotoxicity. -The aim of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of ALS inhibitor herbicides, applied isolated and associated with glyphosate in post-emergence of soybean cultivar presenting the RR/STS technologies. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications and ten treatments. The treatments consisted of the application of glyphosate and ALS inhibitors herbicides, isolated and associated with glyphosate. The application of treatments occurred in V4 stage of plant development. The evaluation of phytointoxication, SPAD index was conducted, as well as variables related to agronomic performance (height, number of pods per plant, yield and mass of a thousand seeds). Yet additional test with the same cultivar and treatment was conducted in a greenhouse in a completely randomized design with four replications. Soybean cultivar CD 2630 RR/STS presented itself tolerant to application in post-emergence herbicides used alone or combined with glyphosate. Except to metsulfuron-methyl (2.4 g a.i. ha -1 ), associated or not with glyphosate (960 g a.e. ha -1 ).Keywords: sulfonylurea tolerant soybeans, phytointoxication, chemical management, Glycine max. RESUMO -O objetivo neste trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade fisiológica de sementes de arroz em função da aplicação de herbicidas em duas épocas de semeadura e redução artificial de luz em diferentes fases do desenvolvimento da cultura. O experimento a campo, realizado na safra 2012/2013, constou de fatorial 2x3x5, sendo os fatores: época de semeadura (18/10 e 09/11); herbicida [testemunha (capinada), bispiribaque sódico e penoxsulam]; e fase do desenvolvimento da cultura sob redução de luz (testemunha; fase de plântula; período vegetativo; reprodutivo e todo o ciclo). A cultivar utilizada foi IRGA 424. Em laboratório, foi avaliado o peso de mil sementes, germinação, primeira contagem da germinação, teste de frio, condutividade elétrica e comprimento e massa da matéria seca da parte aérea e de raízes de plântulas. A semeadura mais tardia causa a produção de sementes de arroz com menor massa e qualidade fisiológica. A aplicação de bispiribaque sódico sobre o arroz semeado mais tardiamente, leva à redução do vigor das sementes produzidas. Com a redução artificial da luminosidade durante o período vegetativo, obtêm-se sementes de arroz com maior massa e qualidade fisiológica, já quando ocorre redução de luz por todo o ciclo da cultura, são produzidas sementes de pior qualidade.Palavras-chave: Temperatura. Vigor de sementes.ABSTRACT -The aim of this study was to evaluate the physiological quality of rice seeds with the application of herbicides in two sowing seasons, and for the artificial reduction of lighting at different stages of crop development. The field experiment, carried out in the 2012/2013 crop year, consisted of a 2x3x5 factorial, comprising the factors: sowing season (18/10 and 09/11); herbicide [control (weeding), bispyribac-sodium and penoxsulam]; and crop development phase under light reduction (control; seedling stage, vegetative phase, reproductive phase and the entire cycle). The cultivar used was IRGA 424. The following were evaluated in the laboratory: thousand-seed weight, germination, first germination count, cold test, electrical conductivity and the length and weight of seedling shoot and root dry matter. Late sowing results in the production of rice seeds of lower weight and physiological quality. The application of sodiumbispyribac on the rice that was sown later, leads to a reduction in the vigour of the produced seeds. With reductions in artificial lighting during the vegetative phase, rice seeds with greater mass and physiological quality are obtained, whereas when the lighting is a reduced for the entire crop cycle, poor quality seeds are produced.
