Abstract: ABSTRACT.-Silva N.S., Silveira J.A.S., Pinheiro C.P., Sousa M.G.S., Oliveira C.M.C., Mendonça C.L., Duarte M. 4%); Streptococcus spp. (7.69%); Escherichia coli (7.69%) and Citrobacter freundii (11.5%). Were observed associations of Staphylococcus spp. coagulase negative nonhemolytic and Staphylococcus spp. coagulase negative hemolytic (3.85%). The most efficient antibiotics for the Gram positive agents were penicile/novobiocine (100%), cefalotine (100%) and florfenicol (100%) and for the Citrobacter freundii … Show more

“…Veríssimo et al (2010) observaram frequência de 24,5% de mastite clínica em um rebanho no estado de São Paulo. Silva et al (2010), no Pará, encontraram frequência de apenas 5,9% de mastite clínica. A incidência anual de mastite clínica observada nos rebanhos leiteiros da Europa varia de 1 a 15%, com média de 5% (Winter 2001.…”

“…Rangel and Marin (2009) found that E. coli isolated from milk samples from cows with mastitis presented 92.2% resistance to the antibiotic tetracycline and 90.5% to streptomycin. Silva et al (2010) carried out studies on the etiology of mastitis in sheep in the north region of Brazil, in addition to establishing the sensitivity profile of the bacteria isolated to antimicrobials. The bacteria isolated were Staphylococcus spp.…”
