Solasodina em espécies de solanum do cerrado do distrito federal

Abstract: -70 910-900 -Brasília -DF Recebido em 3/7/96; aceito em 12/2/97 SOLASODINE FROM SOLANUM SPECIES OF THE FEDERAL DISTRICT. An isolation method of the steroidal alkaloid solasodine was applied to the fruits of seven species of the Solanum genus from the Federal District. Two of these species show promising yields. The purity of the isolated alkaloid allows it to be transformed it into an intermediate for steroidal drugs production, 16-deshydropregnenolone, and to the lactone vespertiline. Keywords: solasodine; alk… Show more

“…The derivatives 3,5,7,3,7,3,7,, peracetyl-epi-solamargine (15) and peracetyl-solasonine (17) were prepared and used to confirm the structures of the natural compounds. The structures were established through analysis of their spectral data, mainly NMR (1D and 2D) and mass spectra.…”

“…The glycoalkaloids are natural toxins with ecological and human health importance, such as the allelopathic effect against herbivores, against pathogenic microorganism 2,3 and molluscicidal activity, 4 and are also of interest as starting material for anabolic, anti-fertility, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic drugs. 5 As the alkaloids, the flavonoids are a frequent group of compounds in Solanum species, and can be used as systematic markers for the family taxons. [6][7][8] Solanum crinitum Lam (Solanaceae), popularly known as "jurubeba" and "fruto-de-lobo", is a shrub or small tree in South America, including southern Brazil and Colombia.…”

“…), although only the extract of the aerial parts showed molluscicidal activity (LC 50 530.32 mg/ml). Solasodine and sola-3,5-diene have been found in S. sisymbriifolium (Mazumdar, 1984), the latter compound being a typical product of prolonged acidic hydrolysis (Mola et al, 1997). Again, it is probably glycoalkaloids that are responsible for the observed molluscicidal activity of this species.…”

“…Previous work on the fruits of S. lycocarpum showed the presence of 0.26-0.64% solasodine as a major component (Motidome et al, 1970;Kerber, 1993;Mola et al, 1997). Steroidal glycoalkaloids are commonly found in the genus Solanum (Solanaceae) and are of ecological and commercial importance.…”
