Show more

“…Flowers of 'BRS Rubra Cara' cultivar have five petals (Figure 2), measure about 3.49 cm in diameter and have petals with average of 0.67 cm in width and 1.75 cm in length (Table 2), which gives delicate appearance and exploration versatility. In addition to these features, flowers of 'BRS Rubra Cara' cultivar appear in inflorescences, have presence of fragrance and white color (Table 2), results that corroborate data by Lorenzi et al (2006) and Mazzini & Pio (2010) for citrus cultivars. 2018), plants that stimulate smell desired for these projects.…”

“…Regarding the color of leaves, classification is variegated green (Figure 1), similar to that of 'Imperial' orange tree characterized by Mazzini and Pio (2010), differing only by the fact that the 'Imperial' leaves are darker. This characteristic present in leaves of the 'BRS Rubra Cara' cultivar is a differential that deserves to be highlighted, mainly for its use in landscaping or as cut foliage.…”

“…The leaves presented margin of the crenulated type, dark green color and the pattern of peninervous venation. These leaf characteristics are befitting with that described by MAZZiNi & PiO (2010) in the morphological characterization of six citrus varieties with ornamental potential.…”
