ResumoObjetivou-se estudar a distribuição do sistema radicular dos limoeiros 'Cravo' (Citrus limonia Osbeck) e 'Rugoso da África' (Citrus jambluri Lush.), tangerineira 'Cleópatra' (Citrus reshni Hort ex Tan.) e 'Trifoliata' (Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Ralf.), sob a laranjeira 'Folha Murcha' em clima subtropical. As amostragens foram realizadas, pelo método do trado, paralelamente à linha de plantio (entre plantas) a 0,5; 1,0; 1,5 e 2,0 m de distância do tronco e perpendicularmente à linha de plantio (entrelinhas) a 0,5; 1,0; 1,5; 2,0; 2,5; 3,0 e 3,5 m de distância do tronco. Essas amostras foram estratificadas em 0 -0,1; 0,1 -0,2; 0,2 -0,4; 0,4 -0,6 m de profundidade. Foram determinadas: massa seca, profundidade e distâncias efetivas do sistema radicular das plantas. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso, com quatro tratamentos e quatro repetições, com uma planta por parcela. A tangerineira 'Cleópatra' apresentou maior massa total de raízes a 2,0, 2,5 e 3,0 m de distância do tronco na entrelinha e nas camadas superficiais dos seguintes locais de amostragem: 0,5 e 1,0 m de distância do tronco no sentido da linha e 1,5 e 2,0 m de distância do tronco no sentido da entrelinha. O limoeiro 'Rugoso da África' apresentou maior profundidade efetiva das raízes na linha de plantio. Palavras-chave: Citrus sinensis, raízes, método do trado AbstractThe aim was to study the distribution of the root system of Rangpur lime (Citrus limonia Osbeck), Rough lemon (Citrus jambluri Lush.), Cleopatra mandarin (Citrus reshni Hort ex Tan.) and Trifoliata (Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Ralf.), under 'Folha Murcha' orange plant scion in subtropical climate, using the auger method. The samples were taken parallel to the line of planting (row) 0.5; 1.0; 1.5 and 2.0 m away from the trunk and perpendicular to the line of planting (inter-row) 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0; 2.5; 3.0 and 3.5 m away from the trunk. These samples were stratified into 0 -0.1; 0.1 -0.2; 0.2 -0.4; 0.4 -0.6 m deep. Dry mass, effective depth and effective distance of the root system of plants were determined. Randomized blocks design was used with four treatments and four replications, with one plant for each plot. Cleopatra mandarin plants had the highest total mass of roots 2.0; 2.5 and 3.0 m away from the trunck in inter-row, and in superficial layers of the following sampling sites: 0.5 and 1.0 m away from the trunk towards row and 1.5 e 2.0 m away from the trunck towards inter-row. Rough lemon plants showed greater effective depth of the roots in the rows than the other rootstocks.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of six rootstocks on vegetative growth, production and fruit quality of Lee tangelo for eleven growing seasons in Butiá, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The evaluated rootstocks were: Swingle citrumelo, Caipira sweet orange, Troyer citrange, Rangpur lime, Volkamer lemon and Flying Dragon trifoliate orange. Trees grafted on Flying Dragon trifoliate orange and Volkamer lemon developed small canopy of spheroidal shape, while on the other rootstocks the canopy shape was ellipsoid. Fruit quality of Lee tangelo on all rootstocks was commercially appropriate, however the trees grafted on Volkamer lemon and Rangpur lime produced fruits with lower internal quality. Flying Dragon trifoliate orange and Volkamer lemon increased yield efficiency of the scion. The best yields for Lee tangelo was obtained on the Troyer citrange, Caipira sweet orange, Swingle citrumelo and Rangpur lime. Performance horticultural do tangeleirro Lee enxertado em seis porta-enxertos no Sul do Brasil RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o desempenho de seis porta-enxertos no crescimento vegetativo, produção e qualidade do fruto de tangeleiro Lee, por onze anos agrícolas em Butiá, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Os porta-enxertos avaliados foram: citrumeleiro Swingle, laranjeira doce Caipira, citrangeiro Troyer, limoeiro Cravo, limoeiro Volkameriano e trifoliateiro Flying Dragon. This study aimed at evaluating the agronomical performance of ‘Pineapple’ sweet orange grafted on ten rootstocks, in 2011-2017 harvests, so as to recommend the best combinations to be commercially explored in citrus growing regions in Bahia and Sergipe states, Brazil. An experiment was installed to test ten rootstock for 'pineapple' sweet orange: 'Santa Cruz' Rangpur lime, 'Red Rough' Lemon, 'Orlando' Tangelo, 'Sunki Tropical' Mandarin, 'Swingle' citrumelo, the citrandarins 'Indio' and 'Riverside' and the hybrids HTR-051, LVKxLCR-010 and TSKxCTTR-002. The trial was installed in 2008 in the municipality of Umbauba in Sergipe. The experimental design was complete randomized blocks with four replications and two plants per plot. Plant spacing was 6 x 4 m which corresponds to 416 plants per hectare and the orchard was rainfed and followed conventional management. The following agronomical parameters were evaluated: vegetative growth, drought tolerance, yield and physico-chemical quality of fruits as well as the abundance of phytophagous mites. Both hybrids LVK x LCR – 010 and TSKC x CTTR-002 and the ‘Santa Cruz’ rangpur lime bestowed higher tolerance to the dry period on the ‘Pineapple’ orange tree, by comparison with higher water deficit susceptibility conferred by the ‘Orlando’ tangelo and the ‘Swingle’ citrumelo. Rootstocks HTR-051, ‘Riverside’ citrandarin, ‘Swingle’ citrumelo and TSKC x CTTR-02 induced plants to remain small and, thus, showed aptitude for culture densification. Cumulative yield of the ‘Pineapple’ orange was higher on rootstocks ‘Red Rough’ lemon and ‘Santa Cruz’ Rangpur lime, the hybrid LVK x LCR-010 and ‘Sunki Tropical’. Yield efficiency was not influenced by the rootstocks. Physico-chemical quality of fruits of ‘Pineapple’ orange is affected by the rootstocks and meets the requirements of juice industries. Regarding plant resistance, the rootstocks did not influence the population density of mites P. oleivora, E. banksi and T. mexicanus on ‘Pineapple’ oranges. Results show that both rootstocks ‘Red Rough’ lemon and ‘Santa Cruz’ rangpur lime conferred high regularity to ‘Pineapple’ orange trees in citrus growing regions in Bahia and Sergipe states.
