Sistema NAS: Nursing Activities Score em tecnologia móvel

Abstract: The objective of this study was to present the computerized structure that enables the use of the Nursing Activities Score (NAS) in mobile technology. It is a project for the development of technology production based on software engineering, founded on the theory of systems development life cycle. The NAS system was built in two modules: the search module, which is accessed using a personal computer (PC), and Data Collection module, which is accessed through a mobile device (Smartphone). The NAS system was co… Show more

“…Regarding the time variable for resolution of the applied test questions, a similar factor was noticed in a research that has developed an application for Smartphone about staff dimensioning in Intensive Care Units, where it was concluded that this resource reduced the working time devoted to indirect patient care, i.e., away from the head of the bed, thus enabling greater availability of professional to provide direct assistance to the customer. 16 According to literature, the technology can be considered the seizure and the application of a set of knowledge and assumptions that enable individuals to think, reflect, act, making it the subject of their existence process. In turn, the creation of technologies arising from the act of caring is based on technical and scientific knowledge, observation of daily life and concern for the well-being of both the caregiver as the subject of care.…”

“…(25) Similar studies conducted in Brazil, that considered the use of mobile applications focused on nursing practice, highlight the importance of investment in this field of research. (25)(26)(27) Applications developed for this purpose may have features that help to improve accessibility to treatments, as well as the speed and accuracy of exams and diagnostics. These can also be provided with functions that bring patients closer to caregivers, contributing to adherence to therapy or care, reminding the patient to take medications, as well as helping health professionals to be more effective and efficient in theoretical-practical information.…”

“…(19) Mobile computing can be applied to several areas in health including remote monitoring, support to diagnosis, and support for decision making. (7,(18)(19)(20)(21) In Brazil, studies on mobile applications developed for health show that it is a new and growing field as a result of the popularization of smartphones and tablets. (22,23) The development of applications for patients was highlighted as a gap to be explored, as it represents an important support for patient adherence to attitudinal and/or drug treatment.…”
