Rego (1997) reported a species of Senga from a freshwater fish in Brazil, but the worms were not mature and could not be identified to the species level; in addition, as vouchers do not exist, confirmation of the generic position is not possible. Remarks: This genus was established and briefly described by Lühe (1899) and later redescribed in detail by Yamaguti (1934) based on specimens from off Japan.…”
