Abstract: ABSTRACT. Effects of firebreaks on ant density (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) in a semiarid region, Argentina. In arid and semiarid regions, the presence of roads or firebreaks can affect microclimatic variables that influence the abundance of soil nesting ants.
