Estudo prospectivo dos efeitos da amiodarona na função tiroidiana de pacientes chagásicos em área de deficiência de iodo

Abstract: Palavras-chaves: Amiodarona. Função tiroidiana. Doençade Chagas. Deficiênciade iodo.A amiodarona, droga que contém dois átomos de iodo, bloqueia a conversão periférica de T4 em T3 5 23, pela inibição da enzima hepatica 5 ' -desiodase (5'-D ), com diminuição do T3 e aumento do rT3 e do T4 séricos6.
