Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the infl uence of dietary intake during gestation on postpartum weight retention. METHODS:A total of 82 healthy pregnant women who began prenatal care at public healthcare services in the Municipality of São Paulo (Southeastern Brazil) between April and June 2005 were followed up.
