Variabilidade climática sazonal e anual da chuva e veranicos no Estado do Paraná

Abstract: Seasonal and annual climatic variability of rainfall and dry spells in the state of Paraná, BrazilClimatic changes on a regional scale are very divergent and not always accompany the global tendency. Statistical methods were used to analyze the patterns of seasonal and annual rainfall and dry spells in 21 hydrological stations located in the State of Paraná, southern Brazil. The results obtained by the Standard Normal Homogeneity Test indicated that there were no significant changes in the climatic patterns of… Show more

“…The municipalities Palmas, Ponta Grossa and Umuarama had the lowest increasing/decreasing rates of annual precipitation, with amounts lower than 1 mm. The results found in this study differ from those found by Minuzzi and Caramori (2011), who verified a trend of precipitation increase in the state of Paraná when they analyzed data from 21 hydrological stations. However, more recent research by Silva et al (2015) corroborate the results identified in this study, since these authors verified trends of reduction in the annual rainfall in Paraná, mainly in the central and northern regions of the Paraná state, with increasing rainfall behavior only in the coast and southwest of the state.…”

“…On the other hand, studies on spatial and temporal variability of precipitation are more frequent (Silva and Guetter, 2003;Minuzzi and Caramori, 2011;Silva et al, 2015), thus, an analysis at the state level, encompassing a consistent historical database of ET can help to identify possible changes in the ET, improving activities that are directly affected by it, such as the irrigated agriculture. This understanding was also supported by Xu et al (2006), who stated that ET data when regionalized become valuable information in the planning of the use of water resources, considering the importance of this variable as the driving force of the hydrological cycle.…”

“…Engenharia Agrícola, Jaboticabal, v.39, n.4, p.466-475, jul./aug. 2019 Some studies found significant trends in rainfall series in the south of Brazil (Minuzzi & Caramori, 2011;Pinheiro et al, 2013;Haylock et al, 2006), whereas other studies found no significant trends (Silva et al, 2015;Denski & Back, 2015). This apparent discrepancy is in part due to different time periods covered in these data series and different methodologies.…”

“…Several studies of precipitation trend analysis were developed in Brazil using non-parametric statistical tests, which obtained results of absence of trend (Salviano et al, 2016;Noronha et al, 2016;Sanches et al, 2013), trend of increase (Uliana et al 2015;Costa et al;2015;Pinheiro et al, 2013;Minuzzi and Caramori, 2011;Groppo et al, 2001;Back, 2001) or even decreasing trends and/or different trends of increase and decrease in the same work, according to the region under study (Raimundo et al, 2014;Blain, 2010;Lima et al, 2011), which justifies the study of precipitation trends on a regional scale.…”
