Violência institucional: vivências no cotidiano da equipe de enfermagem

Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative study was to describe the experience of a professional nursing team exposed to institutional violence, to discuss how these experiences influence their routine lives and their service organization as well as learn about the events which provoke these violent attitudes. “…Um estudo destacou que o enfermeiro é o trabalhador que mais sofre agressões verbais, tais como: ser tratado com desprezo, ignorado, desdém, tratamentos inapropriados, olhares hostis, insultos, observações desrespeitosas, chamado de incompetente ou estúpido (VASCONCELLOS ET AL., 2012). Esse achado reflete que o profissional que sabidamente tem sua ação calcada na gerência do cuidado pode ter seu trabalho desvalorizado em um contexto repleto de comportamentos violentos.Em uma investigação sobre os atos de violência do usuário direcionados à categoria de enfermagem, revelou-se que a ocorrência de atitudes violentas é atribuída pelos trabalhadores a diversos fatores, tais como: preocupação e angústia dos acompanhantes diante de seu familiar enfermo, o estresse do cotidiano aliado à dificuldade de acesso ao serviço de saúde, a discriminação com a instituição de saúde por tratar-se de atendimento público e o fato da população atendida ser socialmente carente (SANTOS ET AL., 2011).
