“…A survey of the online contents of Jornal de Pediatria (using the key words injury, trauma, traumatism, accident, violence, maltreatment, abuse, poisoning, burn, fall, drowning, asphyxia, suffocation and resuscitation) revealed a mere 10 original articles, [6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15] nine review articles, [16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24] one case report 25 and four editorials. [26][27][28][29] In relation to a total of 1,230 papers published during the same period, 24 items represent less than 2% not enough, if one takes into consideration the great relevance of injuries due to external causes in the pediatric population.…”
