Show more

“…The cellulose value (%) was obtained in Almeida et al (2009), Gonçalves et al (2007, and Reddy and Yang (2009) and crude protein value (%) in Pereira et al (2000), Santos et al (2004), and Maheri-Sis et al (2011), respectively, for sugarcane, Brachiaria, and soybean residues.…”

“…Under the NT system, at a depth of 0-5 cm, the increase in MBP was approximately six times higher than that observed under CT Values ranged from 72 to 1520 g g -1 for MBC (Kaschuk et al, 2010), from 8 to 110 g g -1 for MBN (Balota et al, 2003;Almeida et al, 2009), and from 4 to 60 g g -1 for MBP (Rheinheimer et al, 2000) under various soil management conditions.…”

“…Additionally, the lower FCO 2 estimates for GH were likely the result of sugarcane residues on the soil surface, which have been shown to present a high carbon/nitrogen ratio (Almeida et al 2015), lignin (Costa et al 2013) and cellulose contents (Almeida et al 2009), and a lower crude protein concentration (Pereira et al 2000). These characteristics are important parameters in nutrient dynamics (Lal 2004) and can consequently reduce FCO 2 because of slow residue decomposition (Almeida et al 2014).…”
