Política e educação em Hannah Arendt: distinções, relações e tensões

Abstract

Em seu ensaio sobre a crise da educação, Arendt afirma a necessidade de se estabelecer um divórcio entre os domínios da educação e da vida política. Trata-se de uma afirmação polêmica, cuja compreensão exige o recurso à complexa teia conceitual em que tal posição se ancora. Este artigo se propõe a elucidar o significado dessa cisão, argumentando que ela não deve ser tomada como uma afirmação do caráter apolítico da educação, mas sim como um esforço para criar distinções e marcar as especificidades tanto da política, entendida como forma de organização da vida comum, quanto da educação, concebida como processo de iniciação em um mundo comum. Por fim, ele procura ressaltar uma dimensão ausente nas reflexões de Arendt e que diz respeito ao sentido político da experiência escolar.
