RESUMO Objetivo o objetivo deste estudo foi descrever um programa de estimulação de linguagem, incluindo capacitação docente e atividades práticas em sala de aula, e investigar o efeito deste sobre o funcionamento social e problemas comportamentais de escolares do Ensino Fundamental. Método participaram 136 crianças de seis salas de uma escola pública e seus professores. O grupo pesquisa recebeu o programa de estimulação de linguagem: 16 horas de capacitação docente e 9 encontros em sala de aula com atividades para os escolares. As atividades envolveram reflexão e prática com a estrutura narrativa. Os professores preencheram questionários sobre as habilidades sociais e problemas de comportamento de seus alunos, pré e pós-programa. Resultados houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre pré e pós-programa dos grupos pesquisa em assertividade/desenvoltura social (1º e 5º anos) e cooperação/afetividade (1º e 3º anos). Nos grupos pesquisa, diferente dos escolares do 1º e do 5º anos, crianças do 3º ano apresentaram maior evolução em suas habilidades de autocontrole, o que pode estar relacionado à menor frequência de problemas externalizantes neste grupo. Conclusão o programa de linguagem proporcionou efeitos positivos nas habilidades de assertividade/desenvoltura social e cooperação/afetividade.

Purpose: this study aims to compare the performance, pre and post phonological intervention, of 2nd year students in public and private education, with and without learning disabilities. Methods: 30 students from the 2nd year of elementary education, public and private participated in these study, distributed in: GI, GII and GIII, composed of 15 public school students, submitted to pre and post testing and phonological intervention; and GIV, GV and GVI, comprising 15 private school students, submitted to pre and post testing and phonological intervention. In the pre and post testing moment, the Linguistic Cognitive Skills Assessment Protocol Adaptive was performed. For the intervention, the phonological tasks of letter/sound relationship, analysis, synthesis and manipulation of phonemes and syllables were conducted. Results: there was a statistically significant performance for the students submitted to the phonological intervention program of the public and private education, in all skills analyzed. Conclusion: the intervention was effective in both scopes, public and private, however, private school students did better in a greater number of skills analyzed as compared to public school ones, suggesting the influence of the intervention associated with the stimuli offered in the process of schooling.

Este estudo objetivou verificar os benefícios de um programa de intervenção fonológica intensiva em escolares do 2º ano do ensino fundamental. Participaram deste estudo 20 escolares distribuídos em quatro grupos, sendo GIE e GIIE (grupo experimental); GIC e GIIC (grupo controle), submetidos e não submetidos à intervenção fonológica intensiva, para verificar eficácia interventiva. Foi aplicado o Instrumento de Avaliação Cognitivo-Linguístico adaptado e a Intervenção Fonológica Intensiva. Os resultados indicaram que houve desempenho estatisticamente significante para GIE e GIIE submetidos à intervenção intensiva com as habilidades fonológicas. Podemos concluir que o programa de intervenção fonológica intensivo foi eficaz para essa população.
