Palavras-chave: análise envoltória de dados, transporte, competitividade, desempenho, agronegócio Abstract: Brazil is a very important player in the international agriculture space and has a vast expanse of fertile land. The adoption of new technologies throughout the production chain has provided significant advances in the field, especially in the state of Mato Grosso, the largest Brazilian soybean producer. Nevertheless, the lack of investments in infrastructure to support logistics needs have been limiting the soybean chain growth. Thus, the aim of the research was to develop a performance assessment system capable of evaluation the soybean exporting routes from economic, social and environmental perspective. Results evidenced the benefit from intermodality adoption to transport soybean from crop growth regions to traditional export ports as Santos-SP and Paranaguá-PR. In addition, the routes that stood out were those whose destinations were the new Brazilian ports, known as the Arco Norte ports, São Luís-MA and Santarém-PA, these new transport flows require new logistical projects capable of integrating railway and waterway modes with transshipment terminals and, from there, with export ports.
