Abstract: Resumo Este artigo pretende discutir a avaliação como promotora dos processos de aprendizagem em sala de aula, para além do exame. Para isso, traz a discussão sobre “o efeito de teste” como uma metodologia a serviço da consolidação da memória nos processos de ensino e autorregulação do estudo pelos estudantes.
