Quando processos de organizar se chocam: hibridismos no espaço social de favelas

Abstract

Resumo Neste artigo, nos propomos a responder à seguinte questão: como o encontro entre os processos de organizar de representantes do Estado e os processos de organizar dos moradores de favelas se refletem no espaço social? Para tal, foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo, de inspiração etnográfica, em duas favelas cariocas, com duração de 1 ano e 4 meses, que contou com observação participante e 91 entrevistas com moradores de favelas e representantes do Estado. As notas de campo e as entrevistas gravadas e transcritas totalizaram mais de 3.200 páginas de dados, que foram analisadas com base em teoria fundamentada. Observou-se que, enquanto processos de organizar de representantes do Estado seguem padrões de lentidão e descontinuidade, os processos de organizar de moradores de favela seguem padrões de agilidade e funcionalidade. Quando os processos de organizar com padrões distintos chocam-se no espaço social de favelas, podemos observar a expressão de hibridismos no espaço, entendidos como produto das contradições, inerentes ao espaço (SANTOS, 2009), entre processos de organizar com padrões distintos, que se materializam em formatos capazes de refletir as lógicas que ali se chocam. Apresentam-se, por exemplo, na forma de ocupações de obras iniciadas pelo Estado e finalizadas pelos moradores, em serviços informais que passam a seguir algumas regras formais, e até mesmo em estruturas organizacionais híbridas.
