To discuss the psychosocial aspects of the quarantine, the distance and social isolation during the new coronavirus pandemic, they represent a risk to the mental health and the aspects that act as a protective factor for the psyche health. This was made through integrative review of publications in the last five years, the bibliographic databases PubMed, Lilacs and Scielo, also considering the psychoanalytical classics of the literature. It was observed that the deprivation of social interaction and the restricting freedom can represent for a lot of people a real blow to their narcissism, an affront to their free will on account of the unconscious meaning that this experience can be. The resilience and the sense of empathy can foster the well-being of people and encourage attitudes of care and protection of the other. Finally, this study contributes as a theoretical tool to scientifically support strategies for mental health prevention and health promotion of the psyche.

O presente estudo objetivou analisar as concepções de educadores de creches públicas acerca do desenvolvimento da criança na faixa etária de 24 a 35 meses de idade, considerando, a partir da perspectiva do desenvolvimento de Vygotsky, que o processo de constituição das concepções apresenta um caráter dinâmico na medida em que são influenciadas pelo contexto social, histórico e cultural do indivíduo. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com três educadoras de creches públicas da cidade de João Pessoa-PB. Os dados foram analisados a partir da técnica de análise de conteúdo temática. Os resultados revelaram que as concepções das educadoras sobre o desenvolvimento infantil são demonstradas a partir da caracterização que estas atribuem a esse processo, destacando que a etapa da educação infantil tem expressiva influência no desenvolvimento da criança, sobretudo nas seguintes dimensões: a educação infantil como base para etapas posteriores do desenvolvimento; a perspectiva do desenvolvimento infantil enquanto processo; e a aprendizagem da criança compreendida numa perspectiva para além do brincar e do cuidar. Tais concepções são expressas ainda pelos aspectos que estas consideram significativos no desenvolvimento da criança de 24-35 meses tais como: cognição, linguagem, interação social, motricidade e autonomia.

The Relationship Between Psychological Well-Being and Autonomy in Young People According to Age

Psychological well-being manifests itself in all aspects of human activity and is essential to understanding whether young people experience life satisfaction and whether, as they mature, well-being can be associated with different levels of personal autonomy. This quantitative study was developed within the framework of international research on young people’s autonomy in the transition to adulthood. Its main objectives were to analyze the relationship between psychological well-being and autonomy and examine potential variations between the two variables according to age. To this end, Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale and the Transition to Adulthood Autonomy Scale (EDATVA) designed by Bernal et al., were used with a sample of 1,148 young people aged 16–21 from Madrid, Spain, and Bogotá, Colombia. The results show that almost all the dimensions on the Psychological Well-Being Scale correlate significantly and positively with the dimensions on the EDATVA scale. Specifically, moderate correlations were obtained between self-organization on the EDATVA scale and purpose in life (r = 0.568; p = 0.01) and environmental mastery (r = 0.447; p = 0.01) on the Psychological Well-Being Scale. In turn, autonomy on Ryff’s scale obtained the highest correlation (r = 0.382; p = 0.01) with understanding context on the EDATVA scale. It was also found that the older 18–21 age group obtained higher scores than the younger 16–17 age group in all dimensions on both the EDATVA and the Psychological Well-Being Scale. Earlier studies endorse the results found in this research, especially the differences in the scores for both scales according to age groups. This opens avenues for future research to analyze the relationship between psychological well-being and autonomy as independent variables in other sectors of the population.
