“…A variável dependente é a Síndrome Metabólica, definida a partir de critérios da Federação Internacional do Diabetes (Zimmet,Alberti, &Serrano, 2005). Assim foi considerada SM quando, na presença de obesidade abdominal -para homens com cintura medindo 88 cm ou mais e para mulheres com 84 cm ou mais (Guimarães, & Tavares, 2019)foram identificadas mais de duas das seguintes condições: hipertensão arterial; hiperglicemia; hipertrigliceridemia; hipoalfalipoproteinemia.
