Among the fuel sources used nowadays, biofuels stand out for being renewable and biodegradable. In this sense, this work aimed to evaluate the performance and smoke opacity of an agricultural tractor in soil tillage activities, depending on the biodiesel blends and the engine rotation. Were used six blends of soy (S) and murumuru (M) biodiesel and seven engine rotation speeds. The results showed a directly proportional relationship between the drawbar power and the engine rotation decrease. Regarding hourly volumetric and weighted consumption, both presented the same behavior: the lowest consumptions were reached when using the two highest proportions of murumuru biodiesel, yet the highest specific consumption was obtained when using the 90M10S blend. Furthermore, the lowest opacity was emitted when the tractor was fueled with the three blends having the highest proportions of murumuru biodiesel. Blends with more than 80% of murumuru biodiesel promote lower fuel consumption than blends with a higher concentration of soy biodiesel. Regardless of the biodiesel blend, the traction force at the drawbar is directly proportional to an increase in the engine rotation speed. In smoke opacity, mixtures with more than 70% murumuru biodiesel promote less opacity than mixtures with a higher concentration of soy biodiesel.

Corroboram também com Gabriel Filho et al (2010), que realizaram trabalho avaliando a patinagem de um trator agrícola em pista de solo com textura argilosa e detectaram efeito do aumento da velocidade operacional na patinagem, de modo que a 3,4 km h -1 a patinagem foi de 4%, e a 5,2 e 6 km h -1 a patinagem foi entre 10 e 11%.…”

O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho operacional e econômico da operação de subsolagem utilizando trator agrícola equipado com e sem rodado duplo traseiro. O experimento foi realizado na Fazenda Experimental Água Limpa, pertencente a Universidade de Brasília. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado em arranjo fatorial 2 x 3 (Duas configurações de rodado, simples e duplos; e três velocidades operacionais, 3,2; 4,2 e 4,9 km h-1), com quatro repetições. O subsolador utilizado foi o modelo SPCR com cinco hastes e ponteiras sem asa, tracionado por um trator modelo TM7020 (4 x 2 TDA) com 109,58 kW de potência. Foram avaliadas a resistência mecânica do solo a penetração (RMP), consumo horário de combustível (Chc) e patinagem dos rodados, capacidade de campo efetiva (Cce) e custo horário (CH). Os dados foram submetidos a análise de variância e as médias comparadas pelo teste de Tukey (P ≥ 0,05). Concluiu-se que a subsolagem com rodado duplo e menor velocidade possibilita menor patinagem, Chc e CH. A Cce foi maior com rodado duplo e maior velocidade. PERFORMANCE OPERATIONAL AND SUBSOILING COST WITH AND WITHOUT DOUBLE WHEELS IN THE AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR ABSTRACT: Agricultural soils decompaction can be carried out with different numbers of wheels on the agricultural tractor. The aim of the work was to evaluate the operational and economic performance of subsoiling operation using an agricultural tractor equipped with and without rear double wheels. The experiment was carried out at Fazenda Experimental Água Limpa, belonging to the University of Brasília. The experimental design used was completely randomized in a 2 x 3 factorial arrangement (two wheel configurations: single and double; and three operational speeds, 3.2; 4.2 and 4.9 km h-1), with four repetitions. The subsoiler used was the SPCR model with five rods and tips without wing, pulled by a tractor model TM7020 (4 x 2 TDA) with 109.58 kW of power. Soil mechanical resistance to penetration (RMP), hourly fuel consumption (Chc) and slip, effective field capacity (Cce) and hourly cost (CH) were evaluated. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and the means compared by the Tukey test (P ≥ 0.05). It was concluded that subsoiling with double wheels and lower speed allows less slip, Chc and CH. Torque and power demand of agricultural equipment activated by power take-off

The agricultural tractor is the main mobile energy source in rural companies, with power take-off being one of the most important uses of the energy produced by the engine. This study evaluates the torque and power demand required to activate active parts of agricultural equipment through tractor power take-off in different working conditions. For this, a boom sprayer, an atomizer, a rotary hoe, and a rotary ditcher were used. The experimental design for the sprayers was completely randomized, with working pressures of 150, 240, and 310 kPa for the boom sprayer and flow rates of 11.5, 13.0, and 22.0 L min h -1 for the atomizer. The randomized block experimental design, in a bi-factorial design (3 x 2), was used for the rotary hoe and rotary ditcher, with three speeds (2.10; 2.60 and 3.10 km h -1 ) and two soil conditions for the rotary hoe (one harrowing and two harrowings) and two working depths for the rotary ditcher (0.10 m and 0.20 m). Torque and power values were obtained using a torque indicator installed between the power take-off and the universal joint shaft, which links the tractor to the equipment. From the data obtained, it was concluded that the boom sprayer demanded the highest torque and power at the highest working pressure. The rotary ditcher increased torque and power demand as speed and working depth increased.
