Like humans, chickens can become sick from bacterial infections. Mycoplasma is a very small, slow-growing bacterium. There are multiple types of Mycoplasma that affect different animals, humans, and even plants and insects. In the current study, the whole genome of Mycoplasma synoviae was sequenced through the joint sequencing method of the third-generation PacBio and second-generation Illumina of the high-throughput sequencing platform, and the complete genome map of the Mycoplasma synoviae was successfully obtained. SMRT sequencing and assembly of whole genome: Canu v1.5/ WTDBG v2.2 software was used for preliminary assembly of filtered subreads. Pilon V1.22 software was used to further correct the assembled genome with high-quality second-generation data, and the genome with higher accuracy was finally obtained. Sequencing results showed that the Mycoplasma was composed of a 0.83Mb chromosome with a G+C percentage of 28.42%. Bioinformatics was used to predict the encoding protein genes, and it was found that Mycoplasma synoviae genome encoded a total of 1415 ORF open reading frames, including 1.73% of the repeats, 7 ribosomal RNAs, 34 transport RNAs, 4 non-coding RNAs and 12 pseudogenes. Mycoplasma synoviae genomes also contain 2 CRISPR, 1 gene island and 2 prophages. Using multiple strains of Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma iowae and Mycoplasma anatis as reference genomes, we constructed phylogenetic trees of 12 species of Mycoplasma. The genetic and taxonomic status of Mycoplasma synoviae strains were evaluated. The results showed that the sequencing strains of Mycoplasma synoviae and the model strain Mycoplasma synoviae WVU1853 were closely clustered together, suggesting the genetic relationship was relatively close and the sequencing strains were relatively conservative, and represent that they share the same genetic origin.

The objective of the current study was to examine the effect of replacing maize with new or stored wheat on the nutrient intake, digestibility, digesta viscosity, and growth performance of growing broilers from 1-21 days of age. For this purpose, 560 one-day-old male broiler chicks were randomly divided into seven experimental treatments, each with 8 replicates of 10 birds. The control diet was a corn soybean-based diet, while six other experimental treatments replaced the corn of the control diet with either 50% or 100% of new, 1.5 year, and 2.5-year-old wheat. The results showed that the replacement of corn with new wheat at 50% and 100% in the diet of broilers significantly reduced feed intake and body weight gain, and increased FCR (p<0.05) at week 3. Similarly, in the overall period of the starter phase (1-21 days), replacement of corn with new wheat at 50% and 100% in the diet of broilers significantly reduced feed intake, nutrient digestibility, and body weight gain, and increased digesta viscosity and FCR (p<0.05). Based on the findings of the current study, it is concluded that stored wheat successfully replaces corn and new wheat in the diet of broilers. Furthermore, stored wheat has a positive impact on feed intake, performance parameter, digesta viscosity, and nutrient digestibility as compared to new wheat.

Mulberry (Morus spp.) of Moraceae family is regarded as a unique plant on this earth due to its broader geological distribution across the continents. It is well recognized as alternative feed resources for livestock due to high protein and energy contents as compared to other tree leaves and conventional forages. Furthermore, it can be stored for longer period for livestock in the form of silage and hay. Previous studies have explored that mulberry leaves can be ensiled with or without additive for longer periods without deteriorating quality of silage. Moreover, mulberry leaves had potential to be stored in the form of hay by different techniques. Both mulberry leaves silage and hay influence antioxidant capacity, immunity, milk yield, dry matter intake, nutrient digestibility, and milk and meat composition. This review will explore the potential positive effects of mulberry leaves in fresh and preserved forms on animal’s health and production parameters. Through this review paper, all the important nutritional characteristics of mulberry leaves both fresh and preserved form will prove that it is a novel alternative of conventional fodders or agricultural by products for livestock
