Assessment of risk factors associated with falls among the elderly in a municipality in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. A cross-sectional study

Abstract: The numbers of elderly people are growing rapidly. Both the community collectively and healthcare professionals, family members and caregivers individually need to reflect on their commitment towards dealing with the changes that occur as people become older. Aging is a natural, progressive and irreversible process that directly interferes with biological and functional conditions.
