The complexity of the phenomenon of pregnancy among adolescents requires an approach that involves aspects of guaranteeing rights, health, human development, and family relationships. This study aims to identify the perception of pregnant adolescents regarding the family support they receive from their families, in a public health service in the Metropolitan Region of Baixada Santista (SP-Brazil). Forty pregnant adolescents in prenatal care, aged from 14 to 17 years old, were interviewed, through the exploration of quantitative information, with the Family Support Perception Inventory and Adolescent Social Skills Inventory. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed. A total of 39 participants had a mean-low or low result for the mean total perception of family support, and one participant had a medium-high outcome. The younger adolescents, with lower educational level and who lived with their infants' father, were the ones that had the lowest indices in the evaluation with the IPSF. The lowest rates for the IHSA assessment were found among 16-and 17-year-old participants, especially among those living with their babies' parents. The interpersonal relationships, from the family context, should be addressed in the processes of prenatal care and pregnant adolescents' follow-up by health care professionals and the social assistance sector.

Objective: to analyze the behavior and infractional acts of 26 female adolescents. Method: a descriptive, sequential explanatory, mixed study, conducted in an educational center in Northeastern Brazil. A questionnaire was applied including sociodemographic; gynecological/obstetric; behavioral variables as well as variables referring to infractions and institutional incarceration. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 23.0 was used for data analysis, descriptive analysis, frequency distribution for categorical variables and calculation of measures of central tendency for numerical variables. In the qualitative stage, data were collected through in-depth interviews, which aimed to interpret quantitative analysis variables. The interviews were recorded and transcribed in full, the data were coded and grouped into themes. Pre-analysis, exploration of the collected material, treatment of the results and interpretation were performed. Thematic analysis was used to identify the core meaning that makes up the communication, whose presence or frequency have some meaning for the object studied. Results: the age ranged from 12 to 18 years and 26.9% attended school. The most frequent offenses were theft (61.5%) and homicide (19.2%). The use of alcohol and illicit drugs, was reported as 53.8% and 46.2%, respectively. All reported being sexually active and 96.2% had had more than one sexual partner in their lives. Seven had already become pregnant, and four of these decided to have abortions. Six (23.1%) declared themselves as bisexual and five (19.2%) as homosexuals. The adolescents mentioned the need for homosexual relations at the place of detention, due to the prohibition of conjugal visits. Conclusion: adolescents who are deprivation of liberty have high social vulnerability.

As desigualdades sociais constituem barreira importante para o desenvolvimento positivo da juventude, podendo resultar em pior desempenho acadêmico, maior probabilidade de engajamento em comportamento delinquente, início precoce da atividade sexual, maiores riscos de aquisição de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis (ISTs) e de gravidez indesejada. O estudo buscou relatar a experiência de acadêmicos de uma faculdade privada ao desenvolver educação em saúde com adolescentes de uma escola estadual de Belo Horizonte, MG. Utilizou-se a roda de conversa para estimular a interação entre os jovens e os acadêmicos. Abordaram-se os seguintes temas: “Direitos e deveres dos adolescentes”, “Saúde mental e Autoestima”, “Gravidez na adolescência”, “Métodos contraceptivos” e “Infecções sexualmente transmissíveis”. Houve mudança da postura dos alunos no decorrer da intervenção: inicialmente desinteressados, ao final do projeto a maioria participava ativamente das rodas de conversa, demonstrando avidez pelo conhecimento adquirido. Os tabus relacionados à sexualidade foram desmistificados, incentivando a construção de uma cultura de autocuidado. Atividades de extensão acadêmica com esta população suscetível são fundamentais para que haja uma redução do comportamento de risco, beneficiando a sociedade e melhorando a qualidade de vida dos adolescentes.
