Abstract: Ten national articles describing 21 cases of CA-MRSA were identified, mostly in children, adolescents and adults with skin and soft tissue infection progressing to severe infections related to Oceania Southwest Pacific Clone (OSPC) leading to hospitalization. Conclusión: Although CA-MRSA is considered a global important microorganism we found a lack of published data about its epidemiology in Brazil, which hinder the design of the reality of the country against CA-MRSA.

“…It may be also involved in systemic infections [61,62]. The pathogen commonly found in acute and chronic infections of the hearing aid with both children [63,64] and adults [65,66]. reported that the implant-associated infection with S. aureus bacteria is developed in 15 out of 44 patients with prosthetic joints [74].…”

“…Recent studies have demonstrated that hemolysin also participates in the formation of the S. aureus biofilm (den Reijer et al, 2016). The increasing prevalence of multidrug-resistant S. aureus strains within hospital and community environments further increases the dangers of S. aureus and poses a serious challenge for clinical therapy (Voss and Doebbeling, 1995; Evangelista Sde and de Oliveira, 2015). …”
