Objetivo: descrever o processo de construção e validação de um aplicativo para dispositivos móveis como tecnologia educacional sobre o aleitamento materno. Método: estudo metodológico realizado em junho de 2020 em cinco etapas (revisão de literatura; organização do conteúdo; construção do aplicativo; validação do aplicativo; adequação datecnologia educacional). Na validação com 20 juízes especialistas, via Google Forms, utilizou-se o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo, com valor mínimo de 0,8. Resultados: Índice de Validade de Conteúdo global foi de 0,96 e, entre os itens avaliativos sobre conteúdo, aparência e usabilidade, houve variação de 0,9 a 1. Sugeriram-se melhorias, sendo incluídas para a versão final da tecnologia educacional. Conclusão: o aplicativo “Descomplicando a Amamentação” foi avaliado de forma satisfatória por juízes especialistas e pode ser usado junto às famílias no processo educativo em saúde.

Background: Self-management education resources for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) using concepts remain infrequent. We aim to describe the development and evaluation process of educational material for self-management in IBD based on patient preferences and expert opinions. Research design and methods: The method of this study includes two main phases of development and validation in five steps in the following order: (1) identification of information needs for patients with IBD; (2) content development with a comprehensive literature review and scientific texts related to IBD; (3) measuring the face validity of the content based on the expert opinions in the field of IBD; (4) validation of the content with the experts in the field of IBD; and (5) validation by target audiences. Results: The expert panel comprises ten gastroenterologists, nutritionists, psychologists, gynecologists, and nurses. The total suitability score is 79.5%. The final draft version of the educational self-management material was presented to 30 IBD patients who were satisfied (n = 24; 80%) with the material. Conclusions: This study shows the development process and is validated for face and content validity by the academic multidisciplinary expert panel and target group. Patients and their caregivers can use this content to cope with their disease.

“…The results of this research were similar to other studies on educational technologies on breastfeeding in Brazil, such as an educational video validated regarding its functionality, usability, efficiency, audiovisual technique, environment, procedure, objectives, organization, video style, appearance and motivation, which obtained an overall rating of 100% by the target audience, and can be used to encourage this practice among families ( 27 ) . Another investigation that sought to evaluate educational material in the format of a comic book about breastfeeding with children between seven and nine years of age obtained an agreement rate of 95.6% in the evaluation by the target audience, thus revealing itself to be a valid and reliable instrument to be used with schoolchildren in order to promote the culture of breastfeeding ( 29 ) .…”

Objective: to evaluate the semantics, appearance and usability of the mobile application “Descomplicando a Amamentação” for family members of newborns. Method: applied methodological study, developed with 20 family members of newborns users of educational technology, including pregnant women, postpartum women and family members of newborns. An evaluation instrument containing questions about semantics and appearance was applied, in addition to the System Usability Scale to evaluate usability. In data analysis, the Agreement Index was used, with a cutoff point of 0.8 (80%). Results: when evaluating semantics and appearance, the application achieved a Global Agreement Index of 0.99 (99%), varying from 0.95 (95%) to 1.0 (100%) between the items evaluated. In usability, a global average of 93 was achieved, presenting the best usability achievable in all system characteristics. Conclusion: the technology was considered understandable, relevant, and efficient, as well as easy to use and low inconsistency with high user satisfaction, demonstrating excellent potential for families.
