A Microbiologia é o um ramo da Ciência que se dedica ao estudo dos seres microscópicos e a relação desses com outros seres e ainda com o meio no qual estão inseridos. Esse é um conteúdo de grande relevância dentro e fora do ambiente escolar, porém abordar conceitos dessa área no ensino de Ciências nas escolas é um grande desafio devido a sua abstração e falta de materiais e recursos. Nesse contexto o presente trabalho, teve por objetivo analisar as contribuições de uma atividade experimental sobre as bactérias. Para isso, foi desenvolvida uma atividade experimental com estudantes de quatro turmas do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola pública no Munícipio de Ibirité, em Minas Gerais. Os dados obtidos foram provenientes da observação dos pesquisadores envolvidos e de um relatório preenchido pelos estudantes após a realização da atividade. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que a atividade experimental contribui para os processos de ensino e aprendizagem sobre os microrganismos, em especial as bactérias. Assim, sugere-se que atividades experimentais sejam inseridas de forma efetiva no ensino de Ciências.

The processes of technological innovation influence the great advances in the world agribusiness sector. These progresses are the result of scientific and technological studies. In this context, fish farming appears as an alternative to diversify agricultural production, being the most responsible system in the world for food security. In addition, the practice of fish farming is a potential strategy for environmental conservation since it contributes to capture fisheries reduction. However, the traditional management commonly adopted in fish farming results in innumerable environmental consequences such as: pollution of water bodies and introduction of exotic species, generation of effluents, emergence of diseases in man and animals. Probiotics as a dietary supplement for captive-bred fish appear as an alternative resource, aiming to improve the zootenic and sanitary performance of fish, healthy conditions and increase production with efficiency. It should be noted that diets are related to ethological aspects, structural integrity, sanity, physiology, reproduction, growth, and sanitary or environmental conditions. The present study aimed to revise assessments on the use of functional food additives in captive-bred fish diet and the results obtained by their administration. A qualitative approach was used with a descriptive and documentary method. The data analysed here contribute to further studies and to glimpse the potentials of nutrition of captive fish, considerating that negative impacts to the environment, production and quality of fish can be mitigated.

Leaky gut syndrome is characterized by increased intestinal permeability, translocation of compounds such as toxins, lipopolysaccharides and bacteria from the intestinal microbiota involving pro-inflammatory processes, metabolic changes, and imbalance of lipid and lipid homeotase recent research has related increased intestinal permeability to metabolic syndrome, which is characterized mainly by insulin resistance, abdominal obesity, lipid disorders, prothrombotic and pro-inflammatory processes. The objective of this study is to analyze through the literature review the pathophysiological mechanisms and factors involved in the relationship of Leaky gut syndrome and metabolic syndrome. The research included 113 scientific articles published between 2014 and 2021 in Medline/Pubmed, Scielo and Lilacs databases. Were selected, fifity original academic articles, written in English, which were analyzed according to the year of publication, evaluation method, objectives and main results. The increase in intestinal permeability and alteration of the intestinal microbiota involved inflammatory, lipidic processes, alterations in glucose homeostasis and secretion of enteroendocrine peptides among them GLUT2 and GLP-1 evidencing a strong relationship in pathophysiological mechanisms in Leaky Gut syndrome and metabolic syndrome. Even studies in humans is rare, there is an intense interrelationship between microbiota, altered intestinal permeability in Leaky Gut Syndrome and Metabolic Syndrome.
