The study showed that the success of acetabular revisions was directly related to the severity of the bony defects at the time of the operation and to the reconstruction technique applied.
Aim. To study the associations of the frequency and values of parameters of the main risk factors (RF) of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and the degree of transnosological polymorbidity (PM) in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).Material and methods. The analysis of 3667 medical records (men, women) treated in the clinic of Research Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine (Novosibirsk) was carried out. Index of polymorbidity was evaluated by the number of nosological forms in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision (ICD-10). The following risk factors were assessed according to clinical and laboratory tests: arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, obesity.Results. Both among men and women with increasing index of PM there was identified growth of the parameters that determine the main RF: systolic BP, diastolic BP, obesity (both in men and women), atherogenicity index (in women), glucose concentration in the blood serum (in women). Frequency of AH occurrence in persons with a high degree of PM among men was 49%, and among women — 69% higher, compared with persons with a low degree of PM. Among men, there was an increase in the incidence of AH (by 9%) and obesity (by 9%) in individuals with a high degree of PM, compared with individuals with an average degree of PM. Among women, there was an increase in the incidence of AH (by 15%), obesity (by 9%), hyperglycemia (by 11%) in persons with a high degree of PM, compared with individuals with an average degree of PM.Conclusion. There was established the role of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypertension mainly, in the development of polymorbidity in patients with NAFLD. The findings indicate the need for personified prevention and treatment of such patients with mandatory identification and correction of modifiable CVD RF.
Buckwheat groats is produced from buckwheat seeds. Buckwheat is characterized by a unique chemical composition, which determines its highest nutritional value and functional properties. The indicators of the chemical composition of buckwheat are of great importance in the production of plant-based fermented alternative dairy products. The chemical composition is characterized by a wide range of fluctuations in the quantitative content of components depending on the climatic zone of buckwheat growth and weather conditions during the vegetative period. The objects of this study were the samples of the top-grade quick-cooking unground buckwheat groats of the “Mistral”, “Agro-Alliance”, “Uvelka”, “Altaiskaya skazka” brands. This article shows that the considerable differences were observed in the content of fat, protein, and starch in buckwheat. It was found that in the unground buckwheat produced by various Russian manufacturers in the spring of 2021 an average protein content was 18.67%, fat–4.6%, carbohydrates–62.21%, and the content of starch was on average 49.78%. These indicators of the chemical composition of unground buckwheat groats should be considered when developing fermented alternative buckwheat-based dairy products.
Experience in hip and knee arthroplasty (primary and revision) accumulated at CITO department for large joints arthroplasty during the period from 1990 to 2010 is presented. Dynamic of the development of that direction in traumatology and orthopaedics, i.e. perfection of implants and surgical technique, is shown. Typical difficulties and complications in primary and revision operations are noted. Elaborated at the department technique for acetabulum reconstruction at revision hip arthroplasty in patients with significant deficit of bone mass and disturbance of mechanical bone strength is described.
Vegetable proteins have become widespread in sausage production due to the need to lower its cost. Lentil is a promising vegetable protein. The study focuses on changes in the functional and technological, and physicochemical parameters of model sausage meat for the production of summer sausage. The dynamics of the growth of starter cultures for the model sausage meat with partial substitution of raw meat was found positive. The moisture-binding and water-holding capacity reduces, and this speeds up the rate of sausage drying.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
