The present study was carried out to describe the characteristic features of potentially toxic metals (PTMs) in the soil of industrial city, Kolchugino–Vladimir Region–Russia. The mass fractions in mg/kg of Cu, Pb, Zn, and Cd were measured by atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS). Multivariate statistical analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA), were performed. The obtained results of the potentially toxic elements were mapped using ArcGIS. A total of four pollution indices were calculated to identify the areas with significant pollution associations. The data analysis showed that locations 14 (urban area) and 16 (non-ferrous metallurgy plant) contribute significantly to pollution. Maximum likelihood method was used to classify the land-use and land-cover (LULC). The analysis shows that locations 14 and 16 are belonging to the industrial area on LULC. Great attention should be paid to the control and regulation of waste disposal into the environment, which in turn, has an adversely impact on human health. By using the data, it could help to identify areas where waste control measures need to be implemented, such as increasing recycling or introducing more waste control legislation. It could also help to identify areas where waste control efforts have been successful. Data can be used by government, policymakers, and stakeholders for future planning and R&D activities.
Аннотация. В работе дана характеристика новой системы управления отходами, реализо-ванной структурным подразделением финского концерна L&T ООО «Российско-финская компания «Экосистема» в наукограде Дубна Московской области. В городе осуществлен стопроцентный раздельный сбор отходов, действует двухконтейнерная система сбора от-ходов, работает мусоросортировочный комплекс (МСК). Анализ данных, полученных с МСК, показал, что выход вторичных материальных ресурсов из потока ТКО, поступивших на сортировку в период с 2011 по 2015 гг., составил от 5,2 % до 10,1 %. Эколого-эконо-мическая оценка системы обращения с ТКО в Дубне выполнена для двух альтернативных вариантов. Приведены расчёты затрат на извлечение вторичного сырья, поступившего на МСК, прибыли от реализации получаемого вторичного сырья, затрат на захоронение потока ТКО на полигоне. Показано, что ежегодный эколого-экономический эффект от внедрения новой системы управления ТКО на территории г. The long history of development of deposits of lead-zinc ores of the Sadonsky mining region led to the formation of extensive halos of chemical pollution of surface watercourses. Aim. The aim of this study is to monitor surface watercourses in the area of the Unalsky tailing dumps and the Kholst deposit by points of sampling of 1992-2004. Sampling was conducted in the summer of 2016. Methods. The content of heavy metals of 2 and 3 hazard classes (Pb, Cd, Ni, Zn and Cu) was studied by atomic absorption. The contribution of the Unaldon River and Unalsky tailing dump to the pollution of the Ardon River. Results. The highest content of cadmium, lead and zinc, significantly exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations (MPC) in the water bodies of cultural and domestic use is found in the Ardon River down from the Unalsky tailing dump. The flow of heavy metals into the Unaldon River with adit waters compared with the observation period of 1992-2004 decreased noticeably. In conditions of a reduction in the production capacity of mining and processing enterprises, the leaching of heavy metals from mountain dumps and excavations make an insignificant contribution to the pollution of the Ardon River in comparison with the Unalsky tailing dump. Conclusion. The state of the Ardon River down from the discharge from the tailing dump corresponds to the "environmental disaster" category. The condition of the rivers Mayramdon and Unaldon according to the content of heavy metals corresponds to a "relatively satisfactory" type.
Аннотация. Изучен состав смета транспортно-дорожного комплекса города Дубны Московской области и определен его класс опасности для окружающей среды. Был проведен химический анализ 30 проб смета, отобранных в 2016 и 2017 гг. за период весенней уборки дорог города вблизи мест массовых скоплений людей, по следующим показателям: кислотность, удельная электропроводность, содержание плотного остатка, хлорид-ионов, тяжелых металлов (валовых, кислоторастворимых, подвижных форм) и нефтепродуктов. Оценка опасности смета дана относительно санитарно-гигиенических нормативов. Установлено, что смет загрязнён высокотоксичными металлами и нефтепродуктами, имеет щелочную рН, содержит легкорастворимые соли, относится к IV классу опасности. Выявлены сильные корреляционные связи между содержанием тяжелых металлов и нефтепродуктов в пробах смета и интенсивностью движения автотранспорта, поэтому его несвоевременная уборка представляет опасность для окружающей среды и здоровья населения. The present article reads about the problem of mercury-containing wastes, their collection and disposal in the urban district of Dubna, Moscow Region. Such waste belong to hazard class I waste and, if improperly handled, poses a threat to environmental pollution and public health. Currently, the collection of such wastes from the population has not been established, therefore, proposals for organizing a collection and disposal system are very relevant. The paper presents a scheme for the disposal of such waste, as well as the volume of waste lamps generated by the city population was estimates and resources that can be involved in secondary circulation were calculated. There was carried out calculation of the amount of waste generated after the disposal of spent mercury lamps in a small-sized vacuum thermo-demercurization unit URL-2M, which can be involved in secondary circulation as material resources.
