Problems of the development of an organizational culture of enterprises are becoming increasingly important in modern business conditions. In this regard, further research requires a conceptual apparatus on the essence and content of the definition of "organizational culture". This, in turn, will highlight the object properties and features of the transformation of the organizational culture of higher education institutions and provide a basis for determining indicators for assessing the level of its development.Analysis of the literature on management and theory of organizations shows that there is no single scientific approach to the interpretation of the concept of "organizational culture". It is established that foreign and domestic scientists use different terms to define the meaning of this category, namely: corporate culture, organizational culture, organizational climate, corporate obligations, organizational health.
