Статья посвящена психолого-педагогическому аспекту реабилитации пациентов после хирургического удаления опухолей головы и шеи. Авторы обращаются к проблеме реабилитационного потенциала, рассматривают уровни и аспекты данного понятия, обращают внимание на отсутствие на сегодняшний день полной, подробно разработанной теории реабилитационного потенциала. Приведены компоненты реабилитационного потенциала и показана недостаточность описания категорий людей, нуждающихся в проведении комплексной реабилитации. Описано проведение коррекционно-педагогической работы с пациентами после хирургического удаления опухолей головы и шеи, а также психологическое сопровождение реабилитационного процесса. Выявлено положительное воздействие психолого-педагогической реабилитации на повышение уровня реабилитационного потенциала. Приводятся данные оценки уровня реабилитационного потенциала, а также состояния пациентов по шкале ECOG и индексу Карновского до и после проведения курса коррекционно-педагогической работы по восстановлению речевой функции с психологическим сопровождением процесса реабилитации. Выявлено, что реабилитационный потенциал не представляет собой постоянную величину, а имеет свойство изменяться в процессе психолого-педагогической реабилитации и ресоциализации, направленной на формирование особой реабилитационной мотивации, избежание инвалидизации и возвращение пациентов, перенесших хирургическое удаление опухолей головы и шеи, к обычному образу жизни.
