Abstract. The biocompatibility of materials of construction materials of dentures, used for the treatment of patients without teeth is one of the key issues of modern dentistry. Thermoplastic polymers are new members of the basic polymers and is currently poorly understood. Chemical nature of these materials is a major positive factor in harmless dentures. However, the ability of microorganisms to adsorb on the surface and penetrate into the structure of a dental prosthesis depends on many factors, including the quality of their processing. In this study, the issues of quality of surface polymers after finishing at the macro and micro levels were reviewed. These aspects are crucial for long-term operation of harmless prosthetic in the oral cavity.
