The most common method of ophthalmological examination is ophthalmoscopy. Pathologic changes of retina and retinal vessels in women with gestosis are most similar to the changes observed in the eyes of patients with essential hypertension. Pregnant women are in a group of risk because of arterial hypo-and hypertension, anemia and gestosis, providing the expressed deficiency of blood circulation of eye.
