Resumo: O artigo tem por objetivo mapear o que as pesquisas acadêmicas revelam sobre o conceito de formação humana no Ensino Médio Integrado no contexto da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica, com o recorte nos Institutos Federais. A busca considera artigos, dissertações e teses publicadas de dezembro de 2008 a outubro de 2021. Neste estudo, de abordagem qualitativa, a pesquisa é do tipo estado da arte. A pesquisa ocorreu em duas bases de dados, na plataforma digital da Rede de Revistas Científicas da América Latina e Caribe, Espanha e Portugal e na do Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia, com os descritores "formação humana" e "formação humana na educação profissional e tecnológica". A análise dos dados, realizada por meio da técnica de Análise de Conteúdo, tem base na proposta de Bardin (2016). O estudo aponta que os professores conhecem o conceito de formação humana, mas grande parte dos educadores, em sua prática educativa, não realiza a aproximação do conceito tendo em vista a formação humana integral. Na percepção dos educandos, uma parte desconhece o conceito de formação humana, outro percentual tem compreensão do conceito associado às relações cotidianas. É nas disciplinas das ciências humanas que ocorre o encontro entre educação e formação humana. A compreensão do conceito de formação humana pelos profissionais da docência está em construção. A pesquisa alerta que averiguar, refletir e fortalecer ações podem ser os possíveis caminhos a trilhar para que o educador possa desenvolver, de modo consciente, uma formação humana integral.
