This article provides a summary of the flora of the Eltava Park of the city Makhachkala consisting of 204 species of vascular plants. For each species, the type of biomorph, the frequency of occurrence in the park, the species' association with different habitats of park communities and the geographical area of each element of the flora are indicated. In connection with the beginning of work on the creation of phytocomplexes of this park, recommendations have been developed for the use of wild species in various forms of park landscaping. 33 species of wild plants were proposed for the design of flower beds, and separately for xerophilic and mesophilic areas. It is recommended to use 29 species to create lawns, and 36 species to construct tree and shrub complexes. When designing artificial reservoirs, 13 species from natural wetland communities with decorative qualities are proposed.
