This article provides a summary of the flora of the Eltava Park of the city Makhachkala consisting of 204 species of vascular plants. For each species, the type of biomorph, the frequency of occurrence in the park, the species' association with different habitats of park communities and the geographical area of each element of the flora are indicated. In connection with the beginning of work on the creation of phytocomplexes of this park, recommendations have been developed for the use of wild species in various forms of park landscaping. 33 species of wild plants were proposed for the design of flower beds, and separately for xerophilic and mesophilic areas. It is recommended to use 29 species to create lawns, and 36 species to construct tree and shrub complexes. When designing artificial reservoirs, 13 species from natural wetland communities with decorative qualities are proposed.
The paper presents a four-year study results of a rare Dagestan endemic Nonea decurrens (C.A. Mey.) G. Don fil. сoenopopulation state on the Narattyubinsky ridge (Foothill Dagestan). An irregular distribution on the study area was found with confinement mainly to shrub communities. The degree of morphometric characters variability of the vegetative and generative spheres of Nonea decurrens in the two coenopopulations studied varies both between sites and research years. The maximum values of biometric indicators were noted in different years for site 2. 2013 was the most favorable period for the vegetative sphere development, while higher values in general were found in 2012. The calculated vitality data of the studied coenopopulations revealed their depressive state according to the majority of morphometric characters for all years of research. Based on the results of one-way analysis of variance, the influence of weather conditions (temperature and precipitation) on the quality of coenopopulations in the years of the study was established. The obtained materials can serve for further monitoring of rare species. Recommendations for the protection of the species are given.
This work was carried out within the framework of a long-term comprehensive study of the endemic species of the Eastern Caucasus — Nonea decurrens (С.А. Мey.) G. Don fil and is devoted to the study of the spatial accommodation of individuals of the species in various ecological conditions on 6 model areas in the lower foothills of Dagestan. Determination of the type of spatial accommodation was carried out using the method of squares and confirmed by the statistical tests Chisquare and Odum's index. It was revealed that, individuals of Nonea decurrens are accommodation in groups on the territory of growth. When examining the established transects on permanent areas, elementary small and united large accumulations of individuals of the studied species of different age states (pregenerative and generative) were revealed. The population density of Nonea decurrens in the area where the species grows was 0.65 pieces / m2, the length of elementary aggregations on transects was 8.9 m, and the density of individuals in them was 30.4 pieces / m2. The length of the intervals between the accumulations was 1.1 m, and the density of individuals here was 0.16 pcs / m2. The discreteness of accumulations is set at 0.97, which reveals a clear delimitation of those from each other, and the degree of remoteness of accumulations (0.3) demonstrates the group type of accommodations of individuals of the species under study at all model areas.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
