Introduction. Melanoma skin is a tumor with a high metastatic potential. Often, its lymphogenous spread is realized in the first place. That is why the assessment of the state of the regional zones of lymph drainage is a prognostically significant aspect of the diagnosis of this disease. The study objective – to estimate the possible predictive value of the results of preoperative lymphoscintigraphy for multiple regional lymph node involvement in clinically localized cutaneous melanoma.Materials and methods. The study involved 89 patients with clinically localized cutaneous melanoma who underwent sentinel lymph node biopsyand regional lymphadennectomy. Morphological findings were compared with the results of preoperative lymphoscintigraphy. Results. In this paper, quantitative data such as the number of lymphatic drainage areas, the number of sentinel lymph nodes in one anatomic region and their combination were considered. Conclusion. It was impossible to determine unambiguously the number of involved lymph nodes. However, the lymphoscintigraphic findings were suggestive of a higher risk for multiple lymph node involvement in patients with several accumulation zones and several lymphatic drainage areas.
Гиперпаратиреоз-одна из часто встречающихся эндокринопатий. Это заболевание приводит к нарушению фосфорно-кальциевого обмена и вымыванию кальция из костной ткани. Нарушение костной структуры скелета при гиперпаратиреозе нередко принимают за метастатическое поражение костей, что влечет за собой неверную тактику лечения. Мы представляем в данной работе клиническое наблюдение пациентки с аденомой паращитовидной железы и тяжелой костной формой гиперпаратиреоза. Множественное поражение костей с разрушением кортикального слоя и наличием мягкотканного компонента изначально расценено как метастазы в кости. Однако морфологическая картина костных очагов, а также повышенный уровень кальция и паратгормона позволили диагностировать костную форму гиперпаратиреоза. Поиск причины гиперпаратиреоза выявил опухоль в проекции правой нижней паращитовидной железы. Хирургическое удаление аденомы паращитовидной железы привело к нормализации уровня кальция и паратгормона. В статье приводятся данные лабораторно-инструментальных методов исследования и результаты хирургического лечения больной.

Inactivation of MLH1 due to promoter methylation causes high level of microsatellite instability in hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC). Therefore, we hypothesized that loss of expression of MLH1 in chromate lung cancer is caused by MLH1 promoter methylation similar to HNPCC. In the present study, we analyze DNA methylation of MLH1 promoter regions in chromate and non-chromate lung cancers and clarify whether methylation of MLH1 has the influence on MLH1 protein expression and MSI.
