Stability of urban subway systems is a crucial issue in daily operation. This paper proposes a node failing process to test the stability of subway network by structure-based and flow-based node evaluation indicators. Furthermore, three network evaluation indicators are used to measure the network performance. The average transfer number of times (ATT) that is strongly associated with network structure and passenger flow will be discussed specifically. The results show that removing nodes with large inbound passenger flow cannot effectively damage the subway network structure, but it can result in significant increment of the ATT in the whole network. Another finding is that the ATT is smaller in peak hours compared with off-peak hours.
Some big cities are now facing a dilemma which one side there are lots of illegal parking on the road, on the other side the off-road parking lots are not used effectively, these are all due to the unreasonable parking policies. This paper has analyzed reasons for the game occurring in parking problem from three respects, and bring forward that the essence of parking policy is to adjust the objective factors influencing parking choice to equilibrate the parking lots used. From the game theory perspective, this paper analyzed the reasons that produce the problems of congest parking in on-street parking lots and insufficient of berths. Finally a concrete policy measures is given to enhance the efficiency of parking lots using and find a way out of illegal parking.
This paper defined the emergency levels of the abnormal events. After knowing the effects on urban traffic system, it set forth the concept of characteristics and principles of emergency traffic organization. It considers that the virtual work of emergency traffic organization is in order to help the evacuating by transferring the right-of-way from the non-emergency trip to the emergency trip, the right-of-way here is divided into pass-though right, prior-pass right and occupy right. The methods that based on the emergency levels and LOS of road for confirming the right-of-way of emergency trip are put forward innovatively. The methods for emergency traffic organization under abnormal state are put forward both on macroscopical and microcosmic aspects. It tends to study the strategies on the macroscopical aspect and tends to study the techniques on the microcosmic aspect. In the end, there is a forecasting and conceiving of the future development of emergency traffic organization.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
