Abstract: Vegetables are rich in vitamins and nutrients, as well as fiber that can help the digestive process. Children who are still growing really need vegetables, but because of limited land, many cannot grow vegetables. The Siti Walidah Orphanage in Jakarta has 51 foster children who are the responsibility of the institution and administrator. Daily life at the Panti is that they prepare their own main meal by taking turns cooking. From the list of menus served rarely provide vegetables. The purpose of this activity is training to grow hydroponic plants and education on eating vegetables is expected to increase knowledge and the availability of vegetables can be fulfilled independently and sustainably at home. The problem-solving method is carried out by providing education through the movement of eating vegetables, then providing training on how to grow hydroponic plants that can be done at home, does not require large land, then followed by filling out questionnaires on knowledge and behavior of eating vegetables, as well as measuring weight and height. The results of the evaluation of the foster children and the manager of the orphanage were very enthusiastic about the community service and empowerment activities by the UHAMKA Medical Faculty team. The attendance rate for foster children was 45 out of 51 children or reached 88.2%, foster children were absent because there were activities at school. Knowledge of nutrition, food functions, breakfast habits, balanced menu, number and types of vegetables is very good, but has not been followed by the behavior of eating vegetables every day, 2-3 servings of vegetables.
CD30 is expressed in Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). To date, research efforts have focused on understanding its contribution to lymphomagenesis through anti-apoptotic mechanisms, and its effect on cell survival. It has been suggested that Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) plays a role in the pathogenesis of positive cases, as an early event in HL development. The presence of EBV is associated with prognosis. More than 40% of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) patients are chemoresistant and show early relapse. The purpose of this study is to determine if there is an association between CD30 and EBV-DNA in HL with doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine and dacarbazine (ABVD) regimen response therapies. This study is a cross-sectional study that was conducted at 3 hospitals in Bandung, Indonesia. We analyzed paraffin sections from 60 cases with histologically diagnosed with Classical Hodgkin lymphoma. ABVD chemotherapy response was evaluated by RECIL criteria. Detection of EBV-DNA by Real-Time PCR and CD30 expression using immunohistochemistry with semiquantitative evaluation was performed on all samples. All data were analyzed using a Chi-Square test with a p-value <0.05 for significant levels. From 60 cases, 28 cases (46,7%) showed a complete/partial response and 32 cases (53,3% showed no response to the ABVD regimen. EBV-DNA were present in 33 cases (55%), 10 cases from the complete/partial response group and 23 cases from the no response group. Low CD30 expression distribution (≤25%) dominated the complete response group (68%), whereas high CD30 distribution (>25%) dominated the nonresponse group (68,7%). The results showed a statistically significant EBV-DNA detection status (p=0.005) and CD30 expression (p=0.009) between the complete/partial response and nonresponse groups. In conclusion, the ABVD chemotherapy response of CHL is associated with CD30 expression and EBV-DNA infection.
More than 40% patient of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) are chemoresistance and show early disease relapse that leads to poor prognostic. Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) appears to have poor prognostic in HL. The CD30 expression at Hodgkin and Reed-Stenberg cells suggested has associated with advanced disease stage. The International Prognostic Score-7 (IPS) is a seven-parameter of risk stratification index for prognostic and as a consideration for treatment plan. The aim of this journal is to see correlation between EBV infection and CD30 expression with IPS-7 in Classic HL (CHL) patient. Case-control research design was done to 40 Fixed Formalin Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) of CHL at the Dr Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung. Cases were 20 patients CHL of high-risk score IPS-7 and controls were 20 patients with low-risk score. Detection of EBV-encoded small RNA-1 (EBER1) by Real-Time RT-PCR and Immunohistochemical staining of CD30 was performed to all samples. All data were analyzed using Chi-Square test with p-value <0.05 of significant level. EBV was present in 10 cases of CHL (25%). The result of this study shows a different statistically significant of EBV infection (p=0.028) and CD30 expression (p=0.004) between low risk and high-risk IPS-7 HL. CD30 expression (OR= 7.429) may provide stronger factor for risk assessment for the patient with HL, compare to EBER1 detection (OR=6.000). This study concluded that CD30 expression and EBV Infection correlate with risk assessment IPS-7 in CHL.
