Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pelaksanaan pendidikan agama Islam bagi anak dengan hambatan pendengaran di Masjid Khoiru Ummah Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan desain studi kasus. Teknik observasi partisipatif dan wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap subjek penelitian yakni tiga pembimbing anak dengan hambatan pendengaran dan tiga anak dengan hambatan pendengaran digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh data hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) dalam proses pendidikan terdapat lima kegiatan pendidikan agama. Seluruh pelaksanaan kegiatan melibatkan masyarakat umum, BISINDO digunakan sebagai sistem komunikasi utamanya selain penggunaan Komunikasi total, Contextual Teaching and Learning diterapkan sebagai metode pembelajaran, serta materi pendidikan agama yang diajarkan disesuaikam; (2) dalam setting kegiatan terdapat tiga setting yang disesuaikan dengan kompleksitas materi yang diajarkan; (3) profil anak dengan hambatan pendengaran yang mengikuti pendidikan agama adalah anak dengan hambatan pendengaran usia remaja. Mereka juga mengajak anak dengan hambatan pendengaran lain untuk ikut bergabung; (4) terkait profil pembimbing anak dengan hambatan pendengaran, mereka adalah masyarakat yang sukarela membimbing anak dengan hambatan pendengaran yang kemudian mengikuti pelatihan intensif; (5) hasil pendidikan agama menunjukkan bahwa anak dengan hambatan pendengaran memiliki kefahaman beragama, ketaatan dalam beribadah dan hubungan bermasyarakat yang baik.
This study aims to improve the ability of dynamics musical skills of autistic student using Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) media. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) interventions have been shown to improve both communication and learning skills in children and youth with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. There are many strategies educators use to aid a child to communicate. Visual aides have been used successfully in helping children with autism communicate. A picture system called AAC Media allows teachers to make pictures to help students on the spectrum communicate. The method that being used in this study is experimental method with single subject research approach and using the design of A–B pattern. Data collection technique that being used are observation and documentation. And data analysis technique that being used is visual analysis in condition. The results of this research indicate that musical dynamic skills in music subject could be improved by using AAC media. The use of AAC media brings positive impact towards autistic students skills in musical dynamic. Therefore, teachers can apply the using of AAC media on music subject activities in school.
Speech and language is an initial capability to be owned subsidiaries as capital to be able to interact and communicate. Intervention is given to those who experience barriers to development including speech development of language in children with Down syndrome. This study aims to formulate intervention programs in accordance with the development and needs of children with Down syndrome. This study to determine the speech development in children with down syndrome and the efforts that have been undertaken to help develop their speaking skills. This study used mixed methods with sequential exploratory design, which is a design study that combines qualitative and quantitative research gradually. Results from this study showed that the ability to speak the child is still limited to the pronunciation of the word without any special handling. The program consists of interventions designed aspects of understanding of the vocabulary, syntax and schematically drawn based on the child's development. The results of th e implementation of this program showed improvement in the children speak a few words. This program can be implemented in teaching and learning in the classroom. More attention in children can help children with Down syndrome improve speaking ability.
Abstract:The purpose of this research is to discover the result of an intervention using a behavioraldevelopmental approach to verbal and performance cognitive ability of children with autism spectrum disorders. This study employed a within-group experiment using a single-subject A/B design. The intervention was given to two children under the age of four by combining learning activities whose curriculum was very well structured with play activities that could stimulate him to interact with others in a more natural setting. The intervention program was given by an educator and parents for 40 hours/ a week in twelve months. The results of the study revealed that the behavioral-developmental approach is effective in improving both verbal and performance cognitive ability. this research is expected to become an alternative intervention to improve cognitive ability in children with autism spectrum disorders.
