В статті наведено результати експериментальних та теоретичних досліджень залізобетонних балок з пошкодженням бетону в стиснутій зоні за дії навантаження. Для порівняння впливу пошкодження, було виконано дослідження залізобетонних балок без пошкодження, з пошкодженням без дії навантаження і з пошкодженням за дії навантаження. В останньому випадку зменшення стиснутої зони здійснювалось при рівні 0.3 від руйнівного навантаження контрольного зразка. Таким чином, пошкодження здійснювалось в першій стадії напруженодеформованого дослідного зразка - до появи тріщин. Для моделювання було взято розрахункову програму FEMAP, з використанням розрахункового апарату NX Nastran. Пошкодження здійснене по середині стиснутої зони розмірами 30х20мм. Для теоретичного моделювання використовувався програмний розрахунковий комплекс FEMAP з використанням обчислювального апарату NX Nastran. Також, було проведено порівняння розподілу внутрішніх напружень експериментального і теоретичного зразків при пошкодженні бетону. Дослідження показало збільшення несучої здатності при пошкодженні елемента при навантаженні 0,3 від очікуваної величини руйнівного навантаження контрольного зразка, в порівнянні при пошкодженні до дії навантаження. Втрата несучої здатності при пошкодженні під дією навантаження в порівнянні зі зразком без пошкоджень становить 18,9%. Пошкодження впливає і на тріщиностійкість елемента, та утворення не типових тріщин. Утворення не типових тріщин відбувається зарахунок зміни напрямку головних напружень із виконанням пошкодження. Цей досвід показав, що допустиме відхилення не було перевищено за рахунок значного зменшення точності розрахунку. Однак, при необхідності можна зменшити відсоток відхилення показань через складність розрахунку. Існують різні способи зменшити відхилення, підвищити відповідності фізико-механічних характеристик матеріалів (наприклад, використовувати нелінійні діаграми замість білінійних), збільшення кількість кінцевих елементів та інші. А також їх комбінації.
