EinleitungDie Blei-, Zink-und Aluminium-Oberzuge gehoren bekanntlich neben dem kathodischen Korrosionsschutz zu den meist verwendeten Mafinahmen zur Verhutung der Korrosion von Eisenrohren im Erdboden. Die vorliegende Mitteilung basiert auf der bisher bezuglich des Verhaltens der Metalle im Erdreich (1) durchgefuhrten systematischen Betrachtungen. Zu beachten ist, dafl zur Zeit uber das Verhalten metallischer Oberzuge im Erdboden nur die vom US-Bureau of Standards bei Naturversuchen erhaltenen Ergebnisse Aufschlufi geben. Jahrgang 1961 Heft 2
In Laborversuchen wurde das Verhalten des Zinks in Flußsand an Hand von Polarisationsmessungen verfolgt. Zink unterliegt je nach dem Sättigungszustand des Bodens an Wasser einer unterschiedlichen Korrosion. In einem an Wasser gesättigten Boden wird die Zinkauflösung kathodisch reguliert, in einem an Wasser ungesättigten Boden mit etwa 10% Wasser wird die Korrosion dagegen anodisch kontrolliert.In USA‐Naturböden wurde eine einfache Beziehung zwischen der Korrosions‐geschwindigkeit von Zink und dem pH‐Wert des Bodens gefunden. Eine starke Erhöhung der Zinkauflösung tritt in schwach alkalischen Böden ein.
