The factors such as how consumers buy things and where they buy products have changed in parallel with the development of mobile internet technologies. Digital interactions among individuals have gained strength thanks to the internet, in which social networks increase interactions. A new economic approach called sharing economy has emerged thanks to these strong interactions. Individuals prefer to temporarily own goods or services rather than permanently via digital sharing platforms. In this context, it is observed that resources are utilised efficiently to meet specific needs. In this way, it can be said that the formation of idle resources is reduced significantly. Sharing economy is examined conceptually based on sustainability and trust. And also, the effect of Covid-19 on the ecosystem of sharing economy and what sorts of ramifications Covid-19 created for sharing economy are examined.
External debt is one of the most important macroeconomic problems for the economies of developing countries such as Turkey. In this study, the relationship between external debt, economic growth and inflation is examined specific to Turkey's economy. Accordingly, the data for the period of 1980-2013 are analyzed using the ADF unit root, Granger causality test, variance decomposition and impulse-response functions in the scope of VAR technique. Research results reveal that there is a unidirectional causal relationship from economic growth in Turkey to inflation and external debt, a shock in the rate of growth has also a strong impact on foreign debt. The results for the variance decomposition indicate that any change in the external debt has a significant effect on the inflation rate.
A b s t r a c tThe aim of this study is to determine factors that may possibly have an impact on the demand of mobile banking use, possible issues of mobile banking arised by customers and the reason of not using mobile banking for non-users as mobile banking seems to be significant advantages for both customers and banks. The dependent variable of this study consists of binary categorical data with only yes-no responses that puts forward the current mobile banking use of academic staff working at Atatürk University. When the dependent variable is categorical, logistic regression can be used to examine the relationship between the dependent variable and independent variables. Therefore, a binary logistic regression was performed to determine the relationship between the dependent variable, namely, mobile banking use and independent variables. Results reveal that there exists a statistically significant relationship among mobile banking use and various factors including age, personal bank loan (vehicle, consumer or dwelling), credit card use, internet banking use, whether or not the existence of current assets, and the presence of a smartphone or a tablet computer.
