Introducción: El manejo del asma tiene entre sus objetivos el control de los síntomas y de los factores de riesgo. El 20% de los pacientes adultos y menos del 5% de los niños con asma, sufren de un asma grave. Las pruebas cutáneas por punción forman parte del diagnóstico etiológico de esta enfermedad. La polisensibilización y la intensidad de la sensibilización de los pacientes asmáticos son elementos para evaluar en las pruebas cutáneas por punción. Objetivo: identificar en la bibliografía consultada si la polisensibilización y la intensidad de la sensibilización, evaluadas a través de pruebas cutáneas por punción, utilizando extractos de ácaros, se consideraban factores de riesgo en el desarrollo del asma grave. Metodología: se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en las revistas relacionadas con el tema a investigar, durante el año 2020, se seleccionaron las revistas que se encontraban al momento del estudio en los 50 primeros puestos del ranking scimago. Resultados: en los artículos revisados no se describe la polisensibilización y a la intensidad de la sensibilización como factores de riesgo en el asma grave, pero si hacen referencia a los ácaros del polvo como factor de riesgo relacionados con la severidad de síntomas y como factor desencadenante de las reacciones alérgicas en pacientes asmáticos. Conclusión: existe un vacío en el conocimiento con respecto al tema a investigar.
Introducción: El traumatismo craneoencefálico (TCE) secundario a heridas por arma de fuego (HPAF) es una situación crítica. El proyectil de un arma de fuego puede penetrar al organismo por cualquier región originando lesiones de morfología variada por múltiples factores. El lugar de entrada del proyectil (orificio) puede tener diámetros pequeños, que escapa a la observación del médico de asistencia, en estas circunstancias se hacen indispensables las técnicas radiológicas como diagnóstico y paso previo a la necropsia judicial. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión y anàlisis de la bibliografia sobre los traumatismos craneoencefálicos por disparo de arma de fuego, se pudo identificar orificios o heridas de entrada por orificios naturales u otras regiones del cuerpo, no así por localizaciones poco comunes como en este caso, siendo preciso realizar estudiós tomográficos para localizar el proyectil, lo que permitió tenerlo como referencia en pròximos casos. Conclusiones: La víctima presentó lesiones, con severo traumatismo craneoencefálico. La tomografía mostró la presencia de un cuerpo extraño intracerebral, semejante a un proyectil. La herida estaba formada por un orificio de entrada atípico, en región anatómica, poco común y un trayecto. En la necropsia realizada se extrajo la bala. En el análisis de balística resulto ser un calibre 22, de fabricación no industrial, usado en un arma atípica e improvisada. Las lesiones intracraneales fueron severas y por un mecanismo directo ocasionaron la muerte del lesionado. El caso se cerró como un homicidio.
Introducción: En las mujeres virgenes, que no han tenido ninguna copula carnal, existe en la linea de union vulvovaginal una especie de membrana incompleta que se extiende hacia el centro del orificio estrechando su luz, se conoce con el nombre de himen y estos pueden ser típicos o atípicos. Metodologia: Se realizó una revisión y anàlisis de la bibliografia, sobre los distintos tipos de hímenes, lo que permitió identificar un himen atípico no frecuente y tenerlo como punto de referencia en casos semejantes que se pudieran presentar en el futuro. Conclusiones: El himen con doble atipicidad, septado, con un orificio dilatado, es poco descrito en la bibliografía consultada. Durante el reconocimiento por delito sexual los peritos médicos legistas actuantes, deben tener presente la existencia de hímenes como este. En estos casos de delitos sexuales en los que la víctima tenga un himen con estas características, la tipificación del delito dependerá de la investigación policiológica.
