Zingiberaceae is a family of plant with antioxidant, anticancer, and antiaging activities. The use of the leaves part of this family has never been explored. Therefore, the aim of this research is to evaluate the antioxidant and antiaging activities of some Zingiberaceae's leaves. The species of Zingiberaceae used in this study are Alpinia galanga (L), Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb, Curcuma longa L, Curcuma zedoaria, Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb, Boesenbergia rotunda (L.), Elettaria cardamomum, Zingiber zerumbet, Zingiber officinale Roscoe, and Zingiber purpureum Roscoe. Leaves were extracted with 2 different solvents sequentially: ethyl acetate and methanol. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents of the extracts were determined spectrophotometrically. Antioxidant activities were tested by using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl ) and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzothiazolin-6-sulfonic acid), whilst antiaging activity was tested by using antiglycation method. The results showed that the flavonoid content of the extracts were in the range of 0.83-25.17 g QE/100 g extract with total phenolic content ranging from 9.80-91.71 GAE mg/100 mg extract. The methanol extract of Curcuma xanthorrhiza displayed the highest antioxidant capacity in the DDPH (IC 50 282.35 mg/mL) and TEAC (10.08%) assays, followed by the ethyl acetate extract of C. longa, ethyl acetic extract of C. xanthorrhiza and methanol extract of Z. officinale, while the most active antiglycation is the methanol extract of Z. officinale (IC 50 203.85 mg/L).
This study aims to produce a mathematics learning tool with a discovery learning model on rectangular and triangular material, with valid, practical and effective criteria to improve the mathematical understanding ability of grade VII students in junior high school. The type of research was development research with the design development using Borg and Gall. This study produced learning tools consisting of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheets (LKPD). The results of the study showed that the learning tools met valid, practical and effective criteria. The validity of the product development was determined by expert validation with an average value of 4.46 with a very valid category. The practicality of the product development is determined by the teacher with an average of 99%, students 90.57% and observers 4.16 which is categorized as very practical while the effectiveness of the development product in terms of the achievement of learning objectives using KKM scores of 75 is obtained from the test results of mathematical understanding ability with the results there is an increase in learning outcomes using developed learning tools.
ABSTRAK Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan menganalisis pengaturan tentang perbuatan catcalling dalam perspektif hukum pidana serta menganalisis pengaturan perbuatan pelecehan seksual verbal menurut pembaharuan hukum pidana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa perbuatan (catcalling) berpotensi adanya tindak pidana yang telah memenuhi unsur-unsur dari tindak pidana, perbuatan ini dikategorikan sebagai perbuatan pelecehan seksual verbal dan dapat dikaji dari beberapa pasal di dalam KUHP, Undang-Undang tentang pornografi serta diperlukannya suatu kebijakan hukum terkait aturan khusus perbuatan catcalling untuk mencapai suatu kepastian hukum dan juga terpenuhinya suatu syarat-syarat kriminalisasi sehingga perbuatan catcalling bisa dibuat aturan secara khusus. Kesimpulannya yaitu perbuatan catcalling berpotensi suatu tindak pidana yang terjadi di ruang lingkup publik melalui unsur-unsur suatu tindak pidana, dampak perbuatan catcalling ini mengakibatkan terganggunya mental, psikologi, sampai pada tingkat kejiwaan dan untuk menentukan suatu kebijakan perlu memperhatikan moral, nilai dan asas yang terkadung di dalam masyarakat dan memperhatikan syarat-syarat kriminalisasi. Untuk mencapai suatu kepastian hukum perlunya kebijakan hukum mengenai aturan secara khusus terkait perbuatan catcalling serta adanya sanksi sosial bagi pelaku catcalling. ABSTRACT This article aims to understand and analyze the regulation of catcalling from the perspective of criminal law and to analyze the regulation of verbal sexual harassment according to the reform of the criminal law. This research is a normative legal research. The results of this study indicate that catcalling has the potential for a criminal act that has met the elements of a criminal act, this act is categorized as an act of verbal sexual harassment and can be reviewed from several articles in the Criminal Code, the Law on pornography and the need for a legal policy related to the special rules for catcalling acts to achieve legal certainty and also the fulfillment of a criminalization condition so that the catcalling act can be made specific rules. The conclusion is that catcalling is potentially a criminal act that occurs in the public sphere through the elements of a criminal act, the impact of this catcalling act causes mental and psychological disruption to the psychological level and to determine a policy it is necessary to pay attention to the morals, values and principles involved. in society and pay attention to the conditions for criminalization. To achieve legal certainty, it is necessary to have a legal policy regarding specific rules related to catcalling acts as well as the existence of social sanctions for catcallers.
Losing both parents due to divorce or death is a traumatic incident that produces a source of stress in life. This will be bad for the person's life since it might create a sense of loneliness, a grave need for affection, and financial problems. Individuals need an ability to overcome problems called resilience. Resilience is a capacity to respond soundly and productively when facing misery or traumatic events. Subjects in this study experienced trauma from parental divorce and death of both parents. When both parents were still alive, the subject never received attention from his father since he had remarried while his mother was forced to work abroad to fulfill their financial needs. The subject was raised by his grandparents with a strong upbringing pattern and lacked the support for achievement. However, the subject managed to grow to be an independent adult and survive the difficult conditions suffered while still managed to be whatever he wants without harming others. The purpose of this study is to investigate the resilience dynamics of a child experiencing parental divorce and death. This research uses phenomenology approach. Subject in this study consisted of one person based on typical case sampling. The typical cases discussed here are divorce and death of both parents. Data is collected using semi-structured interview method and then analysed using thematic analysis.
In accommodating coffee seed production, coffee cherry as the main ingredient was collected from personal farms. Nonetheless, as the company's external condition grows, this strategy is no longer appropriate to keep PT Golden Malabar Indonesia growing and developing in current condition in which the consumption rate of coffee has increased and lifestyle has shifted. The main purpose of this research was to formulate strategy development of Arabica coffee processing business. The analysis tools utilized to examine the company's internal and external conditions included the matrices of Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), and Internal-External (IE). The analysis tool used to determine the appropriate strategy for the company was Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The total score of IFE matrix of PT Golden Malabar Indonesia was 3.0507 indicating its strong internal position. The total score of EFE matrix of PT Golden Malabar Indonesia was 2.0160 indicating the lack of response to the opportunities and threats outside the company. The position of IE matrix of PT Golden Malabar Indonesia is in region IV in which the company is growing and developing its Arabica coffee processing industry and it is significantly appropriate to conduct integrating strategy. The first priority strategy is in accordance with QSPM analysis i.e. PT Golden Malabar Indonesia is encouraged to perform backward integration by building connection with coffee cherry distribution partners/agents.
The quality of lesson plans are one of the factor determining success of the learning process in schools. One element of the 2013 curriculum transformation is 21st century skills, namely higher order thinking skills integration in mathematics learning. Basically, to get HOTS thoroughly mastered by the teacher, this later must be trained systematically starting from the planning stage. At the planning stage, the teacher is required to prepare a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). This study aims to determine the results of analysis of class VIII mathematics lesson plans based on HOTS, and find out what obstacles experienced by mathematics teachers in the preparation of HOTS-based RPP. These problems were investigated through field studies conducted at junior high school (SMP) Negeri 1 Sukoharjo using the qualitative research approach that is survey research method. This study involved 2 grade VIII mathematics teachers. Data were obtained through various data collection techniques, including observation, structured and unstructured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by phenomenology approach and descriptive analysis. Then the data are tested for validated through data triangulation. From the results of the analysis, there were 2 (two) answers to the problem statement. First, RPP is not fully based on HOTS, it could be seen in the selection of verbs in the preparation of indicators still at lower levels of order thinking skills. Secondly, the obstacles encountered by teachers in the preparation of lesson plans included the fact that HOTS-based 2013 curriculum training was only felt by some mathematics teachers, the distribution of books was too late, teachers felt that the understanding of HOTS was insufficient. They stated that compiling HOTS-based 2013 curriculum plans was not easy for them, the school only gives a syllabus. Through this research, it is hoped that all mathematics teachers in general and mathematics teachers at Sukoharjo Middle School 1 in particular can learn from the results of this HOTS-based lesson plan. So that in the future, teachers will be increasingly encouraged to improve their quality and improve the quality of education in Indonesia.
Tebu salah satu komoditas pertanian penghasil gula, akan tetapi kebutuhan benih tebu belum mencukupi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh macam varietas, zat pengatur tumbuh alami terhadap pertumbuhan kalus tebu secara in vitro dan interaksinya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penelitian Tanah dan Tanaman Tebu Comal Baru Kabupaten Pemalang. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) terdiri atas 2 faktor 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama macam varietas (varietas PSJT 941, PS 881, kidang kencana) faktor kedua macam zat pengatur tumbuh (IAA, air kelapa, ekstrak tauge, ekstrak jagung). Data dianalisis dengan uji F dan jika terdapat beda nyata menggunkan uji BNT 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa macam veritas berbeda sangat nyata terhadap variabel saat tumbuh tunas, tinggi planlet, jumlah tunas, jumlah daun, berbeda nyata terhadap saat tumbuh akar. Varietas terbaik adalah varietas kidang kencana. Macam zat pengatur tumbuh berbeda sangat nyata terhadap semua variabel yang diamati. Zat pengatur tumbuh terbaik adalah IAA. Interaksi macam varietas dan zat pengatur tumbuh alami berbeda nyata terhadap saat tumbuh akar dan bobot segar planlet. Interaksi terbaik pada variabel saat tumbuh akar dicapai oleh varietas kidang kencana dan IAA, untuk variabel bobot segar planlet dicapai pada varietas kidang kencana dan air kelapa.
