The article is devoted to the description of the systemic relations of the topolexemes of Evenk origin with the root “бира-”. The territorial scope of our study includes the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Irkutsk and Amur Regions and the Republic of Buryatia. The aim of the study is to describe geographical names with the root “бира-” as a systematic formation. The scientific novelty of the study is provided by the first systematic analysis of toponymic vocabulary with the root “бира-” in the area of the Evenk settlement in the Amur Region and Eastern Siberia. In the article, toponymic lexemes are characterized in several aspects: structural-derivative and semantic, which makes it possible to identify oppositions and differential features within the toponymy of several regions. As a result, the features of the word-formation structure of toponyms with the root “бира-”, productive topoformants are determined. The semantic specificity of Evenk lexemes is revealed. The features of hybrid toponyms caused by adaptation processes are ascertained. The system nature of toponyms is proved by the presence of paradigmatic relations within one class of toponyms, as well as between classes.
